At arrival, about how long does it take between de-boarding the plane and arriving to check in at one's resort (Pop Century)? I am arriving at 9AM on Monday, June 11.

(I tried to search and find the answer, but the search feature wasn't working so well today)

Average time from deplaning to resort checkin line is about 70 mins, depending on which stop of three you are. It breaks down something like this...
10 mins from gate to DME line
10 mins in line at DME counter (tops)
10 mins in bus line
30 mins ride to resort
add an addtl 15 min if you are the last stop

Now, those times are very general. I usually make it to the DME counter faster than 10 mins and I stop for a potty break. And I have yet to wait more than 8 mins in line, and that time I was behind about 50 people.
I have been lucky and only once have I had to wait more than 5 mins in the bus line and then only once longer than 5 mins once on the bus. The one time it took me close to 90 mins to get to my resort was when the bus was very full, there were a lot of people with their checked luggage with them and my resort (POP) was number 3 of 3 stops. There was a longer than usual wait at each of the first two resorts since they had to pull quite a bit of luggage out from under the bus.
But, I have made it in 60 mins as well as long as 90 mins.

Thanks for sharing your experience! I appeciate the detail. This will be my first time using DME (so have lots of uncertainty) and just want to know if I'll be safe promising that we'll be at MK in time to eat lunch. :goodvibes

The average reported time is 70 minutes. Let's say it takes you 90 minutes. Assuming your flight arrives on time, that puts you at Pop at 10:30 a.m. Check-in could easily take 15 minutes, and if there's a decent line it could easily take 30 minutes. Let's say 30 ... it's now 11:00 a.m. You walk to your room, 10 minutes, and then 10 minutes for bathroom breaks and whatever ... it's now 11:20 a.m. You get to the bus stop by 11:30 a.m.

Let's say the MK bus is just pulling away as you walk up, so you have to wait 20 minutes for another one. It's now 11:50 a.m., and you get to MK by 12:10 p.m. if there's traffic. You get to the MK turnstiles at 12:15 p.m. By the time you walk down Main Street, see the Castle, and wipe away a tear, it's 12:25 p.m. Sounds like lunch time to me!:thumbsup2

I didn't present a worst-case scenario, but I did present a pretty conservative one ... you could make it there 45 minutes earlier if the planets align just right.

I'll betcha Mickey Bar that I'll be enjoying my first bite of a Casey's Corner hotdog by exactly noon on Monday, June 11. ;) :goodvibes
