My dad booked our vacation (we're going as a family of 7) way back at the end of November. He received his DME tags mid-December, and I never received mine. So we called and they said they'd sent them, but said they'd send out more just in case. Well, that was at the very first of this month. We have nothing (we've recieved ALL of our WDW vacation info here except for the tags). What should we do?

This really isn't too big of a deal and there are a couple ways to handle it. Quick question, are your Dad and your reservations linked? If so, then he may have all of the tags for your group. Check that out to be sure. That happened to me earlier this month but I didn't realize it until standing in the ME line with my friend.

If you don't have your tags go ahead and check your luggage as normal. Keep your luggage stubs handy because depending on what you decide to do you may need them.

When you get to MCO you'll have two choices.

1. Go get your luggage from te corral yourself and carry then go to ME to check in. (This can be a hassel or a easy depending on which terminal you arrive. We were fortunate enough to be in the same terminal as ME so I had my friend grab the luggage and bring it down while I went through the ME line. ) Once you check-in at ME you'll go to your assigned bus and check the luggage there. When you get off the bus you check in the hotel and if your room is ready take it there. If it's not you can check it and then have them deliver it later.

2. If you don't want to go through the trouble of picking up the luggage you can go directly to ME and when you check in tell them you didn't get your tags. They'll ask for your luggage stubs, name, flight info., etc. and will retrieve your luggage for you and bring it to your room per the normal ME process. (Now, I've personally never done this but have know people who have and said it didn't take any longer than usual.)

So depeding on your level of faith, time of flight, etc. hopefully you'll have enough info. to make a decision.

Enjoy your trip.

Thank you. Yes, our reservations are all together. He received half the tags and the other half are the ones we're missing.

Looks like we might just have to lug the stuff there ourselves. That's okay, i guess. At least it'll all be there for us and we won't have to wait!

IIRC, you shouldn't have to lug it yourselves... All you'll have to do is get to the DME desk right after your flight and tell the cast member that you luggage needs to be picked up but has no tags. It would help if you put brightly colored ribbons on it to add to your description of it.

MyZoeJane is 100% correct.

DO NOT LUG YOUR OWN BAGS IF YOU DON'T WANT TO!!!

NO NEED TO DELAY YOURSELF AT BAGGAGE CLAIM!!!

Just skip baggage claim and go to the DME Welcome Center. As part of their procedure, they'll ask if your checked luggage has DME tags. When you tell them "No," they will ask for your baggage claim ticket numbers, as well as a physical description of each bag (as matched to a photo array). They will dispatch a CM to go to the correct baggage claim carousel, claim the bags for you, and take them back behind-the-scenes where they will be put in with the rest of the DME bags slated for resort delivery.

This is an established procedure they have set up for exactly your sort of circumstances. Everything is under control. It won't be something new for them to have to figure out what to do.
