We received our DME tags yesterday. The tags only list or first resort (we are switching resorts during our stay) which probably isn't a big deal since I can get the pick up straightened out while we are there.

I'm more concerned that there is no flight information, it literally says "no flight information provided"... should I be concerned?

They don't need flight information on them. The yellow DME tags are strictly to locate your resort and room. All your information is on the barcode. All luggge is scanned at the airport. You will get a tag at the airport when you check in your bags for your flight.

Did you get vouchers for the bus? Your flight information should be on the vouchers if you gave it to DME. If not, you need to call DME and give them your information.

Does DME transfer your bags between resorts for your split stay (don't know, never done a split stay)? If not, you only need 1 set of tags, and you need to remove the yellow tags prior to departing your resort on your last night - I would do it before you switch resorts actually, just to avoid confusion because the yellow tag screams "i'm going to Disney World" to the baggage handlers, but there is no yellow tag to go home.

If you're on a participating airline and can use resort airline check in (RAC), you get the normal tag put on your bag as though you were checking in at the airport. Nothing for DME. If you can't participate in resort airline check in due to your airline you're flying, you take your bags with you when you go to the DME stop at your resort (they are stored under the bus), so no need for a tag then either.

No, DME does NOT transfer your bags between resorts. It takes you to and from the airport.

Disney will transfer your bags between resorts, just call bell services

When you switch resorts:
1) Call Bell Services. They will come and pick up your bags
2) After you get to your new resort, go to Bell Services and they will bring your bags to your new room. As I recall, the bags don't arrive at the new resort until after 3 or 4. Bell Services will tell you for sure.

Like when flying, make sure you take critical items with you, like meds. I've never had a problem with my bags on a resort switch, but you never know.

I didn't think so, i've just never done a split stay. I was trying to illustrate that the OP doesn't need to get new tags for the way home, so that they don't spend time waiting at the DME counter for tags they don't need.

I had this happen to me last time; no flight information listed on my vouchers.

It wasn't critical on the way down, but obviously on the way back it was critical to my ME bus pickup.

The CM at the line for the ME bus noted the info was missing and circled the number with a pen to call when I arrived at the resort.

So they definately check for you and direct you what to do.

Interestingly enough we got new ME paper work and tags in the mail yesterday, this time with our flight information and both of our resorts listed.

We do split stays pretty often so we are practically experts on bell services and transferring bags.

I'm even thinking of getting our own bags at the airport so I won't even need the luggage tags since we won't be landing until around 3:30pm, I don't want to wait that long for our luggage to arrive later that night.

No, they don't need your flight info. By the time they see your bag with its yellow tag, it has already arrived in the Orlando airport. They only thing DME needs to know is where goes after they grab it. (which resort and room)

They will ask your flight info, mostly to know when you are leaving for pickup, and when you are arriving to help them find the right number of bags with yellow tags, but it doesn't need to be printed on the tag itself.

For what it's worth, we've stopped using the yellow tags. It was neat at first, then the magic wore off as we would have to wait for our bags for hours and keep calling. You might actually want something in those bags when you get your room (or earlier). So we just grab the luggage ourselves and then we know we have it.
