DME Tag Question

Got my tags in the mail this weekend! Yay only 11 days left!

But they had the wrong arrival date on them. We're taking a redeye flight which arrives at MCO a day after we leave, and I guess there was some confusion from that. Anyway, I called the DME number and the guy changed in the computer and told me I didn't need new tags, that all I had to do was cross out the date and write in the correct date. This made me a little nervous, so I just wanted to know if there were any DISers who were in the same situation, and how it turned out.

We have had that happen with the cruise line and had no problem. If you have enough room on the tags, I would correct the date and then write Red Eye next to it (or near it). But I would not worry about it. I am sure you are not the first to have this happen through DME.
