DME return trip / split stay

Booked DME for our upcoming split stay but it didn't ask me for a pick-up resort.

I probably should have booked DME for two one-way trips. Will it know where to pick us up or do I need to call or stop by the front desk?

With a split stay, you need 2 separate DME reservations. Call DME directly at (866) 599-0951to make the second reservation

If you do not receive a paper confirmation at your room morning of the day before the day you will go home, for your Magical Express ride back to the airport (posibly because you failed to make such a reservation) or you received an incorrect paper confirmation (possibly due to some glitch), then go down to the front desk that morning of the day before the day you will go home and make an appropriate request or correction and get the confirmation before going off to the parks..

If you do not have a written confirmation in hand when you arrive at the Magical Express bus pickup point and the driver pulls in and says you are not on his list then (you finish the story, does not have to be in the next 60 seconds).

While last minute changes, like evening of the day before or even on the day of, are not ruled out, there is a greater chance the sweet spot bus is booked full and you get a bus time 4 hours in advance or even sooner for a domestic flight.

I would just call now or go online and modify your current DME reservation to a one way and then make another one way with the 2nd reservation. Alternately you can modify it when you check in a the 2nd resort but why waste vacation time

Re the below - while you do need a voucher to board the bus there is nothing to indicate that you will be penalized for making a same day reservation. DME is fluid and has the ability to adjust routes constantly.

Make two one-way reservations. I goofed that up on our April trip, but caught it in time. To ease my mind, I called DME to ensure the requests had the correct resort information. I also checked at our second resort (we were only staying there one night and we had a 3:30 a.m. pickup - SWA changed our home-bound flight time).
