I am a US Airways Dividend Miles member. US Airways recently announced no more checked bag fees (1st bag and up to 4 companions) for Dividend Miles members who have one of their award credit cards. Great news but how will this work with DME on the return? I used to have to pay the $25 per checked bag fee on my return by calling the DME 800 number the morning of check out before going to resort airline check in at the resort. Now that US Airways has waived the 1st bag checked luggage fee for members with award credit cards, how with this work with DME?

If it works like the Delta card, they will know when they pull-up your reservation.

I was wondering the something. The wording on the agreement states that you need to check in at an airport kiosk or ticketing counter. So I have a bad feeling that I am gonna have to drag luggage to the airport if I want it to be free.

You shouldn't. RAC works just like curbside check at the airport, they pull up the reservation and print the tag. They make sure you know that (i.e. I get tipped).
