Sincere apologies if this should be posted in the DVC Rental area.

I have rented points for back-to-back weeks at different DVC resorts next spring.

Yes, I can find the reservations in my Disney account (note, I did not say DVC account as I am not a DVC member).

I have sent my flight arrival info to the party from whom we rented points for the first week and flight departure info to the party from whom we rented points for the second week.

Both indicate they have passed that on to the appropriate DVC people.

Yet, several weeks later when I look at the reservations on-line, for both weeks it still lists for the Ground Transportation part of each reservation as "Not Included".

I was told by the party from whom we rented our second week that "They do not put this on the reservation. You are scheduled for it and will receive info and tags about 3 weeks prior to travel."

If this is the case, then why or why is there even a "Ground Transportation" area visible on our DVC reservations?

Is this what I should expect?

Sorry for being a nervous nelly (with apologies to anyone named Nelly  ), but (A) this is the first time I have gone the DVC point rental route so its all new to me and (B) I am travelling with my special needs DD who uses a wheel chair and walker so the last thing I need is for our transportation to go awary.

Thank you in advance,
Dan

I'm not sure how you are seeing this reservation. I didn't think there was any way for a non-DVC person to view a DVC reservation. But, I could very well be wrong.
It seems that it is always the DME part of any reservation that tends to not show up. If you are concerned, you can call DME directly about a month prior to your stay. They can tell you whether or not you are in their system. If you aren't, for some reason, they should be able to add you at that point.

My issue??? Since you are traveling with a special needs child, you may not get the best experience with DME. Can you DD navigate the steps onto the bus?? They can be steep. Some of the buses are equipped with lifts for wheelchairs and ECVs, but not every one. You may have to wait awhile for a bus that meets your needs can be brought in.

It may be worth your while to hire a car service...just a thought.

Hi goofy4tink,

Thank you for your thoughts.

To see the DVC reservation I simply created an account on the main Disney web site and then they matched up the DVC reservation to my name, etc.

As far as DD and the DME bus, we took it a while back (back in the day when we could exchange our Orlando area non-DVC time share via RCI). She was able to, with my assistance, climb up and down the steps of the DME bus. We asked for and the driver let us sit in the front row on the passenger side of the bus.

I then returned after seating DD in the bus to collapse her wheel chair, etc. and they stowed it with the luggage underneath the bus.

Thanks for the tip re calling DME about a month before we leave. I've noted that suggestion.

Dan

We're renting points for our upcoming trip and this happened to us as well. I can login to the Disney site and see my reservation, but it still says no ground transportation. I was concerned as well, but the person I rented from said he passed along the info. I received my DME info./tags ect. in the mail a few weeks ago, so we're good to go, although it still says "no ground transporation." :confused3 I think it must be a glitch in the Disney website, and I'm guessing you'll be fine. If you haven't received your DME info./tags 30 days prior to your departure; I'd get in touch with the ppl. you rented from again.

Well, you learn something new every day!!! Thanks for that info guys.
Dan1, I'm glad you'll be able to use the bus with your dd....and a front seat is a very good idea.

Thanks very much, brockash, for your sharing your experience.

I can relax (on this trip planning point ;) ) for a while now.

Have a great vacation!
