DME questions

I've read through some of these threads but couldn't find answers to my two questions.

(1) we are staying in a 2BR, two families from different states. I already sent DME my information when we booked our flights. I now want to send a request for our friends. The request form asks if I previously provided flight information. I'm not sure whether to say yes - or will that override my flights? There is a follow up link to add another request if I were submitting both at once, but not sure how to handle when one was already submitted? This is via DVC website.

(2) our friends have connecting flights. Do I use origin flight #/city or connecting flight #/city? same thing for final destination? Does it even matter as I'm guessing it is the airline tags that get the bags to the right airport, and DME just needs to know when to pick up bags, take to which resort and when to get you on a return bus.

Thanks for your help!

I would play it safe and call Disney to speak to a cast member directly since you'll be traveling on different flights. I wouldn't use the online form. I cannot answer your second question as we always fly direct.

1.) Call. That way you can explain the situation.

2.) Connecting. baggage will be transferred to your connection at the connecting airport. (You'll still have the normal baggage tags the airline puts on it in addition to the DME Yellow ones)

This way, they know about how many people to expect at the same time. So if they're arriving at 11:00 and another group is arriving at 11:05 and another at 11:20, they know they can wait to depart until 11:40 so everyone has a chance to make it over there.

You're not assigned to a specific bus, though. You can stop and get something to eat or even browse in the shops for awhile before getting on the bus. It's only an issue for going back to the airport. Then you're assigned a specific pick-up time, and if you miss that, there may not be room for you on the next bus, or there may not even be a next bus that will get you to the airport in time.

Thanks, all. I called DME and they took care of everything. Although they have to ship my friends' tags to me and then I turn around and mail to her. Oh well. I can handle that.
