My Jet Blue flight arrives on a Sunday at 2:04pm. Can someone tell me about what time I can expect to be at Boardwalk Villas? I am trying to decide if we should go into a park that first day or not. We're going in Sept and the parks close pretty early. Although Magic Kingdom DOES have the EMH which might be worth our while.

Also, our return flight is on a Friday at 5:38pm. What time do we need to catch the bus? If we are at a park do we get the bus back at our hotel? Or do busses pick up people from the parks too?

Thanks for any help anyone can give!

You should be at the Boardwalk by 3;30. On the way home they pick you up 3hrs early.

arrival probably 330-400 pm.

Return trip will be about 3 hours before flight time, from your resort only, which means everything / everybody at the DME stop ready to go 15-20 min before that time (the time listed on your paperwork will be when the bus leaves, not when you should be at the bus stop). So your return trip will be approx 2:15-2:30 for a domestic flight. Again, that means all luggage that you are dealing with taking to MCO, all people etc etc, on the curb waiting for the bus about 15 minutes before the bus time.

To be clear, yes you need to board ME for your return trip at your resort. You can leave your carry on bags with the Bell hop/luggage service.

Average time from gate to resort is about 70 mins. I've had times as short as 55 mins but one time it was close to 90 mins. For BWV, it's usually right around that 70 min mark.

For your return home, your DME return ride is tied to your resort reservation. So, you have to return to your resort in order to get the bus. For a 5:30 flight time, you will be given a pickup time of about 2:30..give or take 15 mins either way. Be out at the DME bus stop no less than 15 mins before the pickup time. That pickup time is actually the time the bus leaves the resort, not the time you should arrive at the bus stop.
This means that you need to be back at your resort by 1:45ish....depending on your baggage situation.
If you are able to use RAC that day, you can just take your checked bags to the RAC counter, get them checked and your boarding passes issued right then. You can give Bell Services your carryon bags to hold until you return to the resort.
Then, when you get back to the resort, and are getting ready to get to the bus stop, go to Bell Services and get your carryon bags...but, that can take up to 15 mins, so plan accordingly. This is the time everyone should make those last minute bathroom runs or snack runs.
