We are flying to MCO via Spirit in June. I am tempted to use DME instead of a Town Car servie. Do you know if Spirit is one of the "participating airlines" for our return trip?

Thank you!

Yes you may use ME just about the same way as everyone else.

The only thing you cannot do that some airlines' passengers can do is check your baggage for your flight home while still at the resort. You will have to manage it yourself. You might be able to have the concierge print your boarding passes; the baggage check stand agent cannot.

(No one can check baggage at the resort for pre-5 AM ME trips back to the airport, for flights going home before 8 AM, so all airlines are equal in that regard.)

For inbound travel, the airline makes no difference.

For return travel, you can use Magical Express with any airline, but you can only use Resort Airline Check-in with specific airlines. Spirit is not one them. So, if you're flying Spirit, it's simply a matter of having your luggage carried in the luggage hold of the DME motorcoach, and checking your luggage with the airline (or with a skycap for the airline) once you get to the airport.
