DME on non-approved airline

We are thinking of changing airlines, but the one we may switch to is not DME approved (Frontier). What does this mean? We already have the DME tags. Will they still pick up the bags at the airport and deliver them to our hotel as though we were on an approved flight?
On the day we leave, do we just drop the bags at bell services while we wait on pickup and load them all onto MDE bus and then check in at that airport like a normal flight?

You can use DME - both the ride and the luggage delivery.

You will not be able to use RAC.

You can use DME and have your luggage delivered to your room on arrival day. All it does is change departure day. On your last day you will be able to use DME but you will not be able to check into your flight or check your luggage with Disney so you will have to do all of that at the airport.

Airline choice matters only when using RAC...resort airline checkin. DME will grab your tagged bags and deliver them to your room. When it's time to head home, just take your bags with you, to the DME bus. They will be loaded beneath the bus and handed back to you at the airport. You then go to your airline checkin, the 'old-fashioned' way!!

Never been on them, but they are so friggin cheap!

There is also a little something going on with a Mascot on the tail contest they were running. It appears (it hasn't been proven, but appears) that when they didn't like who was winning they claimed the contest was flawed and dropped it. Pretty low, imho.

We just flew Frontier out of CLE and it was great. Bags were delivered right to our room and we took them on the bus with us and checked in the old way at the airport. No problem!

DME transports guests from any airline flying into MCO. Pretty sure what you are talking about is that Frontier is not on the list of participating airlines for RAC, where you check your bags at your resort before heading back to MCO instead of checking them at the airport. When you arrive, DME will still handle your bags, as long as you put the luggage tags on them and will deliver to your room.

For what it's worth, we've flown Frontier four or five times and never had a single problem. Now.....Delta, Southwest, and American....that's a different story. There are nightmare stories about all of them. And, as others have said, we've taken advantage of DME transportation both ways. Just no resort airline check in, which, while nice, isn't a huge deal for us.
