Okay I have not taken the DME since MB were introduced. All I have to do is call and make a reservation and tap my MB to get on the bus correct? There is no more paperwork that you have to show - right?

Do I need anything besides the magic band? Do we need to show Identification? We will have children with us do they need some kind of ID?

What they do send for paperwork now is a letter with a bar code with your flight information on it, as well as some helpful information on where to find the DME desk, etc. We've never been asked for ID at DME, at check in to the hotel, but not at DME.

I got no paperwork. We leave 6/3/15. They did send magic bands. I called and they said they no longer send the booklet.

Makes it a bit awkward for those who do not customize a MB ahead of time or for those who forget their MBs.

Did you get your yellow DME luggage tags? If not, you had best call DME to make sure you have a reservation. If you don't, they aren't required to let you board a bus!!!

If, for some reason, you don't have a MB, you can always bring the info letter you are sent. If, as above, you haven't received anything 2 weeks prior to your stay, then you should be calling DME to make sure you are in the system. They can bring up your resort reservation and see if you are listed as having reserved DME.

We arrive June 16. We received magic bands as well as a separate ME packet with the yellow tags and booklet.

MBs are always sent from a different area than the DME packet. If you have booked DME, you can expect to get a letter, with info on it, and your yellow luggage tags. If you haven't received this 2 weeks prior to travel, call them and make sure they have you in their system. They need 10 days lead time to print up new stuff and get it mailed to you.

I received a booklet with my yellow luggage tags also.
Was it a DME booklet? So many of us are just getting the letter now, I figured they had stopped sending that booklet!!! Of course, that booklet did have vouchers for your round trip, which isn't needed anymore. But, it did have good directions for finding the DME area.

This booklet talks about my whole pkg. but 4 pages are about DME and resort airline check in. It also has the vouchers for mini golf and Disney Quest. The luggage tags were in this envelope too. I never got a letter pertaining to DME.

Update
I got my magic band and paperwork for some of the guest. Then got extra set of Magic Bands for one son flying in 2 days after and everyone else in his room that already arrived.

Not to mention that fact that guests from outside the US don't get the Magic Bands sent to them.

When I originally answered I was thinking of that, but then kept thinking "but they won't get luggage tags either" and I don't know exactly what int'l guests get, so I stopped that line of thinking. But of course, I realize now that you mentioned the topic, they have to get *something*.

You got your DME paperwork?

MBs are sent by different people than the DME stuff. They shouldn't be coming together and that shouldn't be an expectation. Have you done as recommended and called DME to make sure you have a reservation?

I just got three separate packages for a last minute trip booked for mid June. First was a booklet with the package information, second was the magic bands and then yesterday an envelope with our DME luggage tags and one letter with confirmation of our DME information and a bar code on the top.

It seems that if I don't have the magic bands when we arrive at MCO the letter will serve as confirmation and be scanned instead of the MB. IIRC this is the way it is done for the return trip to the airport, just one paper for the entire party.

Something on paper, such as a copy of the DME booklet or DME confirmation letter, is the most desirable, if you have it.
No way to verify that a Magic Band was indeed encoded with the necessary information although you should bring that, too, if you have it.
If you never got anything at all and end up calling DME, at least ask for and write down the name and city of the person you talk to.

When you get there, if you have the MB and tap that and it is accepted then the CM will probably not ask to see anything on paper.

They asked for our paperwork and MB's at DME in October... I would take it just in case.

I wonder if they're doing package mailings differently now.
