I have used DME many times and always paid for my checked bags over the phone. However, this year, I am entitlted to check my bags for free on American. How do I handle this? I certainly don't want to pay for the bags but I also prefer not to have to take them to the airport myself.

The Resort Airline Check-in (RAC) agents at your resort are tied in to the RAC participating airlines' reservation systems. Regarding fees for checked bags, the agents see if you're exempt from paying, have already paid, or still need to pay. RAC does not automatically try to collect baggage fees. They only collect such fees on behalf of the airline if the airline indicates that the passenger is required to pay.

Many American Airlines customers are exempt from baggage fees based on class of service, AAdvantage (frequent flyer) elite status, AAdvantage Citibank credit card benefits, or other other reasons.
