DME Kidani questions??

I thought the checked luggage was a separate service (or contract with Disney?) than the DME bus.
I think there are cargo vans that show up at resorts, or is that just bell services?
(Although the only time I used DME, I just had a carry-on that was loaded under the bus)[/QUOTe


The luggage coming from the airport is tied to DME. The RAC service at the resort is a separate service which is the equivalent of checking your bags at the airport.

Thank you! I just read through most of that thread. It sounds like you can put the luggage tags on your bags and they will make it to the resort whether or not you use ME. However, this is against the "rules". Also, if you don't take the bus there is some concern that Disney might not assume responsibility for any lost bags, but that's rare anyway.

I think I will take ME and send my wife and kids along to the parks. Thanks all for the feedback.

one more thing--I just called MS and asked about this. I was told we would be "fine" as long as one member of our party takes DME, all bags would arrive. I asked "so if there are 8 of us traveling with 5 bags and I'm the only one on DME, all the 8 bags are going to make it to the resort?" She said yes.

The only logical presumption is that they have to relay the "rule", but it's not enforced. Whoever retrieves the bags and forwards them to the resort has no clue if the person associated with that bag has or has not gotten on a bus.
