Is it possible to take a ME bus from a hotel that is not where you are staying?

We are staying at the Boardwalk and have a late afternoon flight. We were thinking of going to Ohana for a late breakfast and leaving from there.

Our checked luggage will be taken care of using the resort airlne checkin (which is a great thing BTW).

I don't really want to deal with the hassle of having to go from the Poly back to the Boardwalk after breakfast if I don't have to.

Thankyou! :worship:

It sure would be nice to be able to take DME from a different resort, but at the moment, that just isn't possible. You are going to have to trek back to BW to get the bus. Be sure to leave plenty of time...I would plan on being back at BW at least 40 mins before the bus is due.

Ask at the DME desk at MCO. AFAIK everyone who's asked has been told no but if enough guests ask Disney may consider changing their policy. The luggage issue may be a non-issue as SW is starting to participate with RAC (currently the value resorts).

Have to agree...you can always ask when you get there. And if enough people say they would like that, maybe Disney will change it. But, I can forsee a nightmare in the making. Can you just imagine guests, deciding at the very last minute, that they want to take the bus from the Polynesian instead of at POP, where they are registered??? I'm sure that Disney could decide to let you decide where you want to be picked up, ahead of time. But what happens then, when guests decide to push the system and get on a bus at any resort..saying they thought that was okay to do.
Here's hoping they do allow us to change our pickup resort though...sure would be nice.

I'm not going to take the time to do the research but don't most of the OPs in these threads ask for a pickup at POLY or at a resort near a theme park? Posters staying at the All-Stars don't seem interested in a DME pickup at POP (or even a moderate).

Changing DME to allow for drop offs and pickups at a theme park makes a lot of sense.

Ah, good point. That would make sense. They could add a bus stop at each park for the DME bus...and charge a small amount for that service. The bus at the MK could be combined with the bus to CR, the Epcot bus could go with BW/YC/BC, AK bus goes with AKL, and DHS bus would be CBR...or something like that.
