DME drop off point at OIA

Beginning April 6th the Busses should drop you off in the "A" side commercial lanes at midway down the terminal. For you at Southwest and Jet Blue that will mean a lot less walking to do to get to the tickets windows and check in. I am not sure of all the airlines down on that end but it should be a big help for everyone. Hopefully they will be pleased with the results and will start making plans to do the "B" side in the same manner.

If for any reason you get dropped off before the middle of the commercial lane please let me know so I can bring it to the airports attention. Also let me know if the drop off is much better than before. I will let the right people know your comments.

Spent most of the day today on the "A" side commercial lanes watching the new alignment and specifically the DME drop off. There are now three spots on each side of the middle of the concourse for the DME bus to drop you off. Today was familiarization day as we told bus drivers to use those lanes. They will not be dropping you off at the front side of the commercial lane anymore. They will unload closer to Southwest. If you encounter anyone trying to drop you off on the front side of side "A" please let us know through the boards. Information will get to the right people. There are luggage carts there and the skycaps are now able to hang around in the area the busses drop off. They will not have to run up and down the commercial lane trying to catch the busses. I am sure you will have a better experience going back to the airport.

The airport has a feedback line and if you feel like it give the airport experiences on the return to the airport. I would like to get them thinking about the "B" side nowl. Word has it that it will be much harder to do. so it won't hurt getting help from outside.
