DH and I are flying into MCO in 41 days (yay). We usually drive, so just trying to wrap my head around flying.
Everything I read says to use your MB to check into DME, but we're coming from Canada and won't be shipped or MBs ahead of time.
What will we need to check in?

It's totally fine. They will look up your reservation and print off paper tickets to be scanned. We did this last weekend with no issues.

No problem! We didn't even have DME reservations when we landed as we booked the evening before. I called a number when I landed, the agent inputted all the information including for my return flight, and it all went swimmingly. We went down to the DME area, and didn't even need to go to a counter. We went to the check-in kiosk and she pulled up our reservation by last name, printed the slips, and we were on our way in less than 2 minutes. Our return DME package arrived on our door knob a few days later for our return trip, including the early check-in stuff for Southwest (we flew from Buffalo). It was very efficient and impressive, unlike trying to book our room which was a miserable experience.

If by chance you have any MBs from a previous trip, they will likely work if they are still active in your MDE account.

Lol! I thought we were the only ones that did crazy stuff like that! Picture a week long western Canadian blizzard and no kids (we're both teachers) in the schools on the last day before spring break. I texted DW, "Florida?" She replies "Make me an offer!" So I surfed around, got a couple of reasonable flights, and we flew out the next morning! US Customs questioned me on the last minute nature of the trip but I told her about the the weather we'd been having, being stuck in snow drifts, etc. She just smiled and said "well then who could blame you, honey," in a slow Texas drawl. I guess it had been unusually cold in Houston and she said that she wished she could go with us!

Awesome stories!
We're flying out of Buffalo too. This is an adults only trip. We usually drive with the 4 kids.
I don't have any magic bands since our last trip was an off-site stay. :(

We had my partner's girls for the weekend and they had never been, and on a whim we decided to book for 3 nights. We had an awesome time and it was great to spend time just with them (I have 3 kids who were with their Dad for his weekend and we have a baby on the way so the extra attention was nice). I did a trip report for fun - the only one I've ever completed because the scope of the trip was so small :-) It was kinda fun pulling it all together!

We are planning a whole family trip at the end of February, so now the girls know what to expect and the playing field is a little more level as my kids have been before.
