DME Back to 4 hours before flight pickup?

Received our DME today and it’s 4 hours before our flight tomorrow. Disappointed as we have TSA-PRE do really don’t need ; hours. Shen did this change from 3 hours to 4?

The day before you check out, you’ll receive a transportation notice advising you of the motorcoach departure time, which will be approximately 3 hours prior to your scheduled departure time for domestic flights and 4 hours prior to your scheduled departure time for international flights. You are responsible for bringing your luggage to the motorcoach departure location.

Whew, I think we arrived 2.5 hours early at the Atlanta airport this past year to go the Grand Cayman. Four hours would really suck.

OP - I see you're in Ontario. That's considered international, hence the 4 hours. If you were flying to Buffalo, it would be domestic, so 3 hours.

We are Canadian but we fly in and out if Buffalo so it’s a domestic flight.

Our flight is at 4:35 and DME (or Disney’s Sad-gical Express) pickup time is 12:35 tomorrow. Lising an hour that we had plans for only to sit at the airport. Going to see if I can get it switched.

If you're flying to Buffalo, it should only be 3 hours from my understanding. Perhaps someone confused this, since you live in Canada. Definitely worth asking if you can get it switched!

You are braver than I am. I arrive at ATL 3 hours before any international flight. I can do 90 minutes for domestic, but the cut off for boarding on international gets me there earlier.

But I think they thing to remember about DME is the 3 hours has never been a 'guarantee' It's a public transport and they group you together to get the bus as full as possible, so if they two buses leaving your resort tomorrow are 4 hours and 2 hours before your flight they will put you on the 4 hour bus.

Curious if you were able to get it switched? I've not heard anything about delays at MCO, which is the reason they used the extended pickup times last year. I believe it was due to construction at the airport back then.

I had the same flight time to Buffalo on August 21. Our pick up time was 1:00pm for the 4:30 flight. In our case though, the bus picked us up at AKL, then Kidani, then Art of Animation, then sat at Pop for awhile waiting and finally got to MCO at 2:15. My older DD was staying separately at the All-Stars. Their time was 1:30pm and their bus only stopped at sport and music. They arrived at the airport at the same time.

So really, it depends on how many stops are planned? All I know is that it wasnt a great experience for us. At the all-stars, they never received their envelope with barcode letter the night before - had to go to front desk for a copy. They would never have known their pick up time. They did get their boarding passes & tags the day off. At AKL, we got our envelope the day before, but day-of only the boarding pass and tag for DD16 and not me! That the front desk couldn’t help with.

I wasn’t too impressed with the service.

It was really 6 hours ahead of time. There was another family that was in the airport for over 12 on our flight as they were trying to get on the earlier flight (the mom was ready to kill the dad since it was his idea!).

Our flight was 8:55pm and we had a pick up time for 5:50pm. Flight got delayed til 10:15 so I asked if changed times and got the no, sorry. While on DME, flight changed again and left at 11:55pm. So we sat in the main lobby area of the airport for an hour and then went thru. We all had TSA precheck.

Pure torture!

Was your flight the JetBlue nonstop to BDL?
I ask because we flew home the 25th and had a similar delay.

We were assigned a time 3.5 hours before departure of the flight we reported to DME. Fortunately, I had chosen to give them the info for a flight that was about an hour later than our real flight, to avoid being stuck at the airport forever.

We just got thru regular security at MCO Friday, Aug. 24th in around 20 minutes. It was no problem, 5 of us and got to the gate maybe 10 minutes after that. We were at the airport 2 hours early but sat over an hour at the gate. It was 9:30am.
