DME and flight change due to weather

I have never used DME but have a friend that will be using it for the first time this coming week. Do you need to do anything if you have to change your flight to a day earlier or a day later because of winter weather? Not sure if it will be needed but would like to be able to give her the correct information.

You can only use DME in conjunction with an existing resort reservation. If the reservation isn't in effect, you can't use DME. Let's say your resort reservation starts on Mon...but there is bad weather predicted for that morning...so you get your flight changed to Sunday. Well, unless you change your resort reservation to a start date of Sunday, you can't ride DME.
But, you could always stay at the airport for that night and then take DME on Monday morning.
A day later poses no issue at all.

Thank for the quick response. I will let her know because she isn't planning on trying to get an extra on her reservation since it will probably be a quick decision if they have to change their flights.
