DME and Extra Baggage

Hi I posted this on another part of the forum and another dis member suggested I ask this here.

We are flying back to NZ from Orlando and have to check our bags with United Airlines.

My husband and I have to pay for a extra suitcase each as our fare only covers one each. I have looked at their website and can't find out how I pay this.

We are using DME to get back to the airport and I would like to know how to pay for the extra luggage.

Can I pay this at the Disney Resort?

Yes, you can pay the baggage fee at the RAC bag check.

I flew home a few weeks ago. I am allowed one free checked bag. But this time, I decided that I didn't want to lug my carryon bag around at the airport. So, when I did online checkin, I paid for that carryon as my second bag. I'm not sure every airline offers that though. When I got to RAC, it was no issue...they must have seen that I had two checked bags, and tagged them.

The DME info you receive the day before departure will instruct you on how to pay this fee in advance. There should be a telephone number you can call to charge the fee to a credit card if you wish. Otherwise you can pay at the RAC desk where you drop off your bags.
