DME Airline Check In

I am taking DME back to MCO for a 4:00pm flight. What is the earliest you can do airline check-in at the resort and when can you drop off your bags? Thinking of going to DTD in the morning but want to have all of that taken care of first.

RAC is open from 5am-1pm. You must check your bags no closer than 3 hours before your flight, so you are good.

Here's what happened to us one time. I did airline check in at
bwv at around 8/9 am and our flight was later that day (I think about 2 pm) can't remember it was awhile ago. Anyway when we got to PHL we waited for bags until everyone was gone and we never got our bags. Well after a lot of running around in PHL at baggage claim we found out our bags came on an eariler flight and were sitting in their office. If I would have known that I could have saved a good hour and a half of time and already been home. Anyway just informing you that your bags might travel eariler than you if you have a later flight.

That can happen if you check your bags too far in advance at the airport and is an airline issue, not an RAC issue. RAC has no control over what plane your bags get loaded on once they get to the airport. If they tagged your bags with the wrong flight information--which I imagine is difficult--then RAC would be at fault.

Same thing happened to us once before, but they notified us...( I believe the folks at POR called my cell.) it wasn't a bad deal, just a bit of a delay while waiting for the highly trained staff at Hobby to find the correct keys. ....)

Same thing can happen for your flight to Disney. Your luggage could make it on an earlier flight and be waiting for you in your room when you arrive.
