DME-5Flying Down/4Flying Home?

I think I know the answer, but...
My aunt and uncle and cousins are flying down and taking DME to WDW. Aunt and cousins are taking DME back to MCO to fly home. Uncle wants to ride back to MCO with them and his luggage to pick up his rental car as he is staying in Orlando for two more weeks.
Any way this can work?
Direct call to MCO as his plane ticket is for two weeks later?

That's what I thought. Didn't think they could actually verify the plane reservation, but wanted to make sure. Thanks. First trip with their grandson, and I'm the "expert" so I want to be as smooth as possible!

DME does not care if you actually have a flight or not! Their sole purpose is to get you from/to MCO.
