Today is Lisa's actual birthday and we had breakfast in the hotel, packed our cases and put them in the car ready to go to the studios for our last chance to get on Crusher's Coaster. We have enough time to feed the ducks first

We get in the queue. After about 20 minutes a whole group of people push in. However others in the queue make such a fuss they end up leaving:yay:
After 50 minutes we finally get on the ride. It is good but best not to sit facing the wrong way in the first place or you may feel a bit sick.

Back to the hotel and luck would have it one more photo with eeyore

Off we go to Calais. We check in at the Holiday Inn. It does not look great from the outside but is nice inside and we have a great view from our window

The best thing about Calais is the beach so off we go and have a great afternoon on the beach

We have a lovely ice cream on our walk back to the hotel. We go out to find somewhere nice to have our dinner but can't make up our minds. We stop and have a quick birthday drink to help us decide

We have decided to have our dinner in the hotel and have a drink in the room first. We open those bottles of champayne which you drink with a straw

We carry on drinking

The thunderstorm passed by so walked to the town for an Irish Coffee.

These were way too sweet and tasted like the badge that came with the bill!

Went back to the hotel and had one last drink before bedtime

What dramatic photos of the weather change. Looks like a little storm didn't dampen anyone's spirit.

wow great pictures of that storm

Glad the storm didn't ruin the evening for you.

that storm picci is amazing, you would not think it could change so quickly. glad to see the 'drinks' count is not suffering with a change in the weather!

Fantastic photos, nice to see the weather didn't ruin the celebrations.

What a great picture of the storm.

I've always travelled on the front of Crush while the troops like the back :)

Shame about the coffees! ;) The storm picture is very cool, quite a dramatic change!!

Great picture of the storm. I think Calais has some nice sandy beaches. Although its been years since I have been into Calais town centre there are some nice little bars/restaurants.

That storm came suddenly - glad it didn't dampen your spirits.

Sara. :)
