Thermals!!!! We are taking thermals; thermal snow boots and thermal ski suit for Rosebug this time. We went in Feb 2011 and it was baltic. I don't feel the cold too much; but DD was frozen and DH complained alot.

Make the most of EMH if you are going in half term as it will be mega busy, and make the most of fast passes for the rides you really want to do.

And - the most important thing of all.... try a Glowtini cocktail! ::yes::;)

thanks for the reply x

we are planning on taking thermals and sallopetts, snow boots, ski jackets etc

well prepared for the cold, just hope its not wind and rain for the whole time we are there!

We go just b4 half term, so hopefully won't be too busy!

Take it easy, not to rush around. It should be quieter the time your going but the downside to that is they tend to have more ride and restaurant closures.

If you want to you could ask for a voucher for breakfast in the park. It is sometimes offered for the Santa Fe, Cheyenne and I think Sequoia Lodge too. Its something a bit different and we quite enjoyed it. If you ask at check in they will tell you if there is any availability and its called Good Morning Fantasyland Breakfast. Its normally held in Plaza Gardens, Bella Notte and Chalet du Marionnette. Plus I find we kind of hit the ground running with it and get loads of rides and attractions done :)

The shows are a great place to get in out of the cold and to rest your feet. We like Anamagique, Cinemagique, Stitch Live and Art of Animation (which has a lovely part at the end where you can draw, sing and see beautiful original sketches and learn about the animation process) in Walt Disney Studios and in the Disneyland Park is Cafe Hyperion which sells fats food and has loads of seating facing a stage with big screens showing some lovely short films (we've seen classics and some new Pixar shorts). You don't have to eat there to sit down and relax for a while :thumbsup2

Check receipts from food purchases during the day. You will normally also receive a 2nd slip with it that entitles you to a free drink after 3pm in certain restaurants. Hot drinks in winter, cold in summer and these are a god send. We always use ours for hot chocolates to sip on while watching the parades / Dreams.

Also over by Bella Notte counter service restaurant is normally a good spot to watch the parade but check the park map for the parade route :)

do they offer the same options available in Cheyenne? Breakfast don't seem too great for us to b honest with food allergies options are very limited :( will probably just take our own cereal.

I plan to take snacks into the parks with us, and perhaps a flask for hot drinks too

can't wait to go now!

Thank you for your help

We arrive on the Wednesday before half term (possibly the Tuesday) and leave early Friday morning during half term. I expect the crowds to be busy from the Monday onwards but before half term, I think it will be relatively quiet and you'l get a lot done :)
Expect it to be cold (though if you compare last winter to this winter so far, its mild) and I'm gauging weather to be similar to where I live (far southeast) as its usually just colder (or warmer than here in the summer). Rain wise, I'm hoping for some dry days, though cold, but I'm hoping for some dry sun too! I'm going to have to pack for all eventualities as we're there for so long, but I'm going to be watching the weather apps like a hawk! Think we'll be putting the roof rack on the car.....
