Here I sit, on what was supposed to be the tail end of our long planned WDW trip. I should be on a cruise ship waving goodbye to Port Canaveral today with dh and my 3 yo and 6 yo, but instead I am on travel restrictions due to pregnancy complications. We had to cancel the entire trip :( So, what's the logical thing for me to do while I am depressed? Obsess over the next trip, right? I don't think we'll be able to afford to do WDW since we have quite a few non-refundable expenses from the cancelled trip and our trip insurance may not cover the cancellation because of pregnancy exclusions. We love DLR, though, and live much closer to CA, so I think we'll end up there for our next trip.

So, we visited DLR in October 2010 for Halloween time, but it was UEA weekend and the crowds were NUTS, especially Saturday. I'd like to avoid those kinds of crowds this time around. I'm trying to decide if the crowds will be worse during our spring break or in the first week in June. We are stuck with school breaks because of dh's job.

Spring break for us starts on April 6th, which is the Friday before Easter. School ends for the year on May 31st. Which of these times would be better, crowd wise? I realize Cars Land won't be finished yet, and our original plan was not to go back to DLR until it is, but we are going to need a vacation sooner than that!

Comparing UAE to Spring Break is like comparing your walking speed to the speed of light.

April 9th is going to be very bad. Sure thing.

June 4th could be reasonable. But it could be when they have grand reopened DCA or Carsland. The worst time of the year. It's a small risk but present.
