I just returned from a great trip to Disneyland over Valentine's weekend where I was solo a couple days and had a friend join for 2! This was my second time there ever and the first time was about 10 years ago! I normally go to WDW since i'm from the east coast and didn't know what to expect from the smaller Disney experience.

I was SO surprised! It was GREAT! and the tour i took was FANTASTIC!!!
I did the Walk through Walt's Footsteps tour and got to learn the history behind the park! and as a super sweet bonus i got an exclusive PIN only for tour takers!

Wondering if WDW has any tours with PINS? I have done the magical gathering SAFARI TOUR and have that pin... are there any others???

The Backstage tour was the highlight of my vacation though! I was thinking of doing other tours at WDW when I visit this year. Any suggestions? Thinking Backstage magic but... 7 hours? not really sure...

Even though the parks were smaller it seemed to pack in all the fun on more than jsut the two parks and different things of course and the same but not quite! DLR seemed more laid back to me despite teh crowds over the holiday weekend and even though we couldn't get reservations for the Blue Bayou eating at the counter service next door was great for the new orleans flair!

I was not a DLR believer before this trip but now i think everyone should pay homage!

-just my two cents, fireofmarajade

I did the around the world segway tour in Epcot in Feb. We each got a pin that you can only get on that tour.

Thanks for the info! None of the books really say its a nice bonus for me to help decide which tours i would consider a teensy bit more than ones that do not offer pins if im on the fence. how did you like the segway tour? I was debating if those tours were safe for those around me or not!

I've done 2 WDW tours and they both gave out pins. Keys to the Kingdom's pin is, well, a key, obviously. Very nice. And Backstage Magic is very cute- Mickey peeking out from behind a door.

KTTK is FANTASTIC and I would recommend it in a heartbeat. In fact I would do it again. For a true Disney-phile I consider it an absolute bargain - I'd pay double what they charge. Our tour guide was amazing, and brought a whole new

After having such a wonderful experience with KTTK, we decided to splurge and go for the Backstage Magic the following year. I had read a lot of wonderful reviews, but we really had a disappointing experience. It was really cool to be able to go to some of the behind the scenes places, but I swear to God, I knew more about Disney than our 2 tour guides did. :sad2: Really basic questions they were getting asked they had to "look into." I was very upset that we had spent so much money and an entire day of our vacation on it. But - we may have just gotten a bad crew since others had such wonderful things to say.

I would really love to do the Walk in Walt's footsteps tour, but I'm not sure about devoting so much time to it on our first trip to DL.

I've done the Yuletide Tour and got a pin when I did that one. It's a Christmastime only tour :)

Anything you'd let an Eastcoaster WDW Nut know about making the trip?? This will be my first time going to DLR!
