I'm going to DL tomorrow (!) and would like an opinion for a nice Sunday brunch in the DLR for 2 me and my DD (22). We won't be together on Mother's day and she would like to treat me a week early. We ate at Storyteller's, Blue Bayou and Rainforest Cafe last summer and we're eating at Ariel's Grotto tomorrow night so we're looking for something different.
Outdoor dining is a plus!

Thanks in advance for your opinions!

What about Carnation Cafe on Main Street in DL? They have really yummy breakfasts on the outside patio and if you are lucky, you get to meet Chef Oscar.

I haven't eaten there myself, but I have read really great reviews on Steakhouse 55's breakfast at the DLH.

Thank you both for the responses! We decided to go with the Jazz Kitchen on Sunday and Carnation Cafe for one of our other mornings! :cool1:

We leave in an hour! :yay:

Have a great trip! I would love to know how you found Ralph Brennan's if you have a moment to write it up. We've been there for lunch or dinner but have yet to try the brunch.

I had Sunday brunch at the Jazz Kitchen back in February. There was live music in the parasol room (a jazz band, lol) and they were quite good. Hubby was excited because they have a build your own bloody mary thing that they do, where you can customize your bloody mary with different kinds of garnishes, liquors, etc. I was just happy to get a hurricane! :thumbsup2

Here is the link to the bloody mary info: http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2010/08/ralph-brennans-jazz-kitchen-features-new-n%E2%80%99awlins-brunch-fest-with-bloody-mary-bar/

I ordered the seafood pot pie and it was very well done. The crust was flaky and light and it was packed with all kinds of yummy seafood, shrimp, crawfish, white fish, etc. Hubby had the debris with egg, and while he said it was good, he thought my seafood pot pie was better. I think he was just jealous. ;)

For dessert we had the beignets, which are perfect to share. They came covered in a mound of powdered sugar. So good!

I think I may have some pictures of the food around here. Let me know if you want to see them. We had a great time and recommend it highly! I hope this helps. :)

YES!!!!! Please! I have not been there for brunch either so would love to see them. I really want to try out the Bloody Mary thing too!

I have not has it but another option is the Gospel Brunch at House of Blues.

FYI--when I ate at Carnation Cafe in February and got to meet Oscar (finally!) he told me he only works breakfast and lunch Monday-Friday.

And the breakfast at Steakhouse 55 is delish--and reasonably priced (in the Disney world) too!

Second this. I feel like that breakfast is one of those "best kept secrets" of the resort. The food is tasty. The atmosphere is pleasant and quiet. The service is very good. What I haven't managed to do yet even though I know I should is go to Steakhouse 55 for dinner. Would very much like to do this...ah well, maybe for this year's birthday.

Ok, here are some pics.
