DLR fan planning WDW trip in Jan

Just popping in to this board because WDW planning is making my head hurt! If there are any Dl fans who have been to WDW in Jan, how does it compare with , say an non easter April at DL? I've got the TGM stuff, but its hard to know how anything compares - it's actaully becoming slightly offputting! Any help gratefully received!

One of the things I hate about a trip to WDW is the "overplanning". And on my last trips I had not even discovered the DIS! Those folks on the WDW boards are nuts.

I love not having to do that at DLR (at least in off season times!). We're going to the World in less than 2 weeks, and I have no daily plans yet other than what park to hit generally, and of course all our ADRs. I have a friend who got Ridemax for WDW after using mine here at DL, and she liked it better than TGM. I'm thinking of getting it, only problem will be of course not entirely knowing what I want to do with each day- when we do the water park will depend on the weather, etc. Our last trip I did commando-style and we did 4 parks in 4 days. I promised DH that if we had a longer trip this time around, I would ease up and let us be relaxed a little more!
