DLR and DCA now have separate blockout days

"Please note, if you purchased and activated your Annual Passport prior to June 1, 2018, your Passport will not be affected until renewal, and you will still continue to have the same Park access based on the Passport type you currently hold."
Not sure what this means exactly because they added new blockouts in May of 2019. Do I get the old blockouts or the new ones. I think the new blockouts apply now, so "not be affected" is not quite true.
I think they are talking about access to both parks not the specific blockout dates. When you buy your pass it does say blockout dates are subject to change. They don’t sell he passes the way they used to 10-15 years ago where it was valid for x days a year (I think at one point it was 320 days for deluxe) they now are sold with different language so the blockout calendar can change and adjust as needed.

Am I just crazy or is June 2019 missing for Sig+'s block out calendar?

I see it for every other pass but Sig+. I wonder if they've got something planned that hasn't been pushed yet for that one :(.

Nope I noticed the same thing. Makes me nervous too.

So, our passes have “40 days remaining” as of today, so I think we’re in our renewal window. We were going to upgrade from Signature to Signature+. I wonder if it’s smarter to do it now or see what changes they’re making first...

I’m guessing it’s smarter to do it now in case they’re phasing out this pass somehow. May need to try to renew today...

I noticed the same thing. But, there aren’t any blocks for Sig, so I can’t imagine there would be for +

So basically the Deluxe and SoCal passes are the most affected? Wonder how much the Signature price will rise next?

May's calendar wasn't up as of yesterday, I was looking for it.

WHYYYY do I never get AP emails? You’d think after 20 years they’d figure it out :-( I have emailed so many times trying to fix it.
We got AP's for the first time this year, and they send my AP emails to an email address I haven't used for 12 years!!! It must have been in their database somewhere and I can't seem to get it fixed.

Same issue sort of. Neither my mom nor I get emails to the emails connected to our accounts. But they do come to an email that I'm not actually sure how they got a hold of since it's not tied and never has been to either account. I've given up trying to figure out why it's doing it and just glad at least one email is getting it.

Granted Disney also used to send me snail mail for my friend's name to my house instead of mine after I purchased a Disney Vacation package almost a decade ago. I was older and paid for the whole trip up front with payments all in my name (not to mention it all came in my name and I was the primary on it), but they defaulted to the male guest name for subsequent ads.

So I already had a low expectation of Disney's communication skills.

I think the calendar is a moot point because the pass is open to both parks every day the park is open for general admission.

It's been this way on the CM blockout calendar for years. DL has many more blockout days than DCA does (and they do it the same way in Florida, where MK is much more often blocked out).

makes me wonder if the calander will be dynamically changed. June for cast members only had 4 days not blackout, but ive heard they are slowly unblocking dates for cast members.

Yeah the CM calendar always changes. Originally every weekend was blocked at Disneyland and most at DCA for all of June. Both parks are accessible for this weekend and the two following plus most weekdays till June 22.

I do not believe I have ever seen them post blackout dates and then change them. There would be a riot.

We are out of state Deluxe Passholders that visit basically two times during our Disney calendar year. We were planning an Aug 2019 trip with extended family with the idea that we would renew our passes then. It makes me a little nervous to see so many blackout days in June 2019. Makes me wonder how the rest of the summer will be...

My DH's CM pass is not blocked for any dates in June 2018 and yes they did open dates for the Main Entrance Pass for this month. I don't CM dates for June 2019.

WIth the recent increases to dap we weren’t able to buy them last trip. IM going alone instead next trip. WHew. FRANKLy as a ticketholder i hope these changes are permanent. IN my mind the purpose of ap’s should be to be level off crowds not to fill the parks on already busy days. I am ok with the highest at a premium price

I understand the frustrations especially. if I bought one pass and they changed the datesmid pass

it seems like they were discouraging the dap purchase maybe becUSE THEY KNEW THAT WAS THE ONE THEY WEre making the most changes to. otherwise thats a pure slap in the face to give such a big increase and cut so many dates.
