Hi all
Does anyone have any experience of booking their hotel/buying park tickets? I get a letter from my doctor to explain my mobility issues, and have always got the easy access passes, but was made aware of the disabled guide for the first time last year, and it mentions hotel/park tickets (as far as I can remember) - but have lost the guide! :sad2:

Any help?

Thanks

hiya

i checked out the various options available to us before as my dd has sp needs / and uses a wheelchair. however it's not in the last 10 minutes so i may not remember it exactly i was told, the oul memory isn't the best :rolleyes1

as for pricing, from what i can make out/ recall, the guest with the sp. needs doesn't get any kind of reduction on hotel prices but is entitled to a reduced entrance fee to the parks and a carer (if required) is either free or at reduced rate too. however these prices can only be got if you present yourself at the gate of the park to buy your ticket and cannot be prebooked.

i know i worked out the price and it was still cheaper for us to prebook in a package rather than arrive and get the tickets when we got there.

maybe if you or your travelling companion had an ap then it may be worth availing of the reduced rate that way?

either way when i called, they were super helpful and did the sums for me :worship:

as an added note, did you know that if you use the shuttle bus to and from the park that they can get you a free private taxi/minivan instead? you can have it called for you at the hotel and coming back there are cm's around the bus stops and if you just ask them they will get it for you straight away. :thumbsup2

we didn't know anything about this little extra bonus until we were stood on the mile long q for the santa fe at midnight, this bus directing angel appeared , plucked us from the q and told us to wait at the top where they turn the buses. he then called another fella and within 2 mins we were loaded onto a minivan and heading far from the madding crowd :goodvibes. never queued in the evenings again after that.

i'll stop now :rolleyes1
