DLP with a 6 month old..

Hi!
We booked for November last week and will be staying 4nights 5 days at the Cheyenne (DS1 loves cowboys)
DS1 just turned 3 last week and
DS2 is 3 months but will be just 6 months when we go,

I'm looking to get some advice on what attractions will be okay to take our LO on?
There are 3 other adults, 1 12yr old who will turn 13 while we are there and a 4 yr old too so were lucky in the sense we can take it in turns to go on bigger rides etc but it would be nice to do some things all together if possible.

Any advice and tips on taking a small baby to dlp would be greatly received x

Would love to hear this also. going in 2 weeks for DS 1st birthday. I know he won't remember but we will I have no idea what rides he'll be able to get on. 1st time travelling with a child and haven't been to DLP since 2008 i think.... way out of touch with everything.

We went when DD was 6 months and just before she was 12 months.

We were told anything with out a height restriction she could go on plus dumbo/astro orbitor, tea cups, buzz and the flying carpets.

Honestly though on our last trip we did two attractions phantom manor and stitch live we were so busy with characters we got so much fuss all the time!

When she was 6 months old we went on its a small world, pinocchio, Peter pan, pirates of the caribbean, story book ride, watched the parade, lights motor action, stars and cars we were so busy you will have a blast!

We are going back in September and she will be 18months old! I am so excited as she. Now say m mouse which means Mickey and can say Minnie mouse.

Baby changing are brilliant and probably have the cleanest toilets inside the park.

Thanks very much! I was hoping we could go on pirates together lol, my other DS is 3 so he's abit more understanding of it and he's so excited! He's quite short so from what you've said pretty much all rides we can take DS1 on we can all do together!
We are planning to leave them for an hour here and there and get some of the bigger stuff done and will be taking it in turns to take the kids back for naps etc so we should be able to do a lot

Lol we didn't have time for all we wanted to do for DD on our first trip and that was with two full park days no naps :0 you won't. Struggle for things to do it is brilliant there for even really little ones! Who cares if they don't remember you will and you can cherish those memories yourself forever I know we certainly will!

It will be my 10th trip and DH 2nd but I've never been with my babies before so it will be a whole new experience! I'm really looking forward to seeing it through them and think it will bring the magic back for me x

It definitely will! The last time DH and I went together we weren't that thrilled and weren't bothered about going back but couldn't wait to take DD to Disney and we had an amazing time! I'm so excited for our next trip. She can now walk I can't wait to see her walking towards the castle

I'm so excited for our trip DD tried on her princess dress earlier was twirling and kissing her reflection she's too funny!

What did you do about baby food? Would you take your own or is it available? We will probably be doing baby led weaning so do you think it will be possible to ask for things without salt/ if they could do us some crudités etc off the menu?
And formula, would you take disposable bottles or take a steriliser? And carton formula or go back to the room and make up from kettle etc? X

When she was 6 month
Baby food we took jars so I was sure she would like them.
We sterilized as we stayed t davy cricket and the kitchen with microwave.
We took cartons.
Just request a cot they will have it ready in the room for you if staying In a hotel. If staying at Davy Crockett it was just in the cupboard you can also ask for high chairs at Davy Crockett.

When she was 12 months she was eating well at breakfast had toast and cereal.
Lunch she isn't a big lunch eater snacks through the day so we took her own snacks biscuits, rice cakes etc and dinner at cafe Mickey and Auberge she ordered for free. Inventions just ate from our plate.
We struggled sterilizing when we stayed in the hotel new york as we had to sterilize in some huge amount of water! Then boil rinse!
Still used cartons though as we didn't start her in cows milk till after we got home.

I think I will take cartons, he will be fine at breakfast, I think I will just take snacky foods like you said rice cakes etc and then just see what he can have from our plates etc.

Oh yeah if you are driving it's much easier! We flew the second time and we were limited with weight of our luggage.

We are driving in September and it's so nice not to worry about liquids and things like that!

We're going to bring disposable sterilizer bags for the bottles. i'll prob just use cartons for DS milk. Powder will just end up being messy and I'm waiting until we return to start him on cows milk. He'll prob be more into water/juice anyway with the heat (fingers crossed for the weather). DS eats a mix of stuff that we eat (usually breakfast and Dinner) and a pouch/jar at lunch time. He tends to eat more at lunch always had so I'll prob bring a pouch/jar for each day and some of his snacks.

Just a note on baby food in France. I heard - and feel free to correct me if i'm wrong - that baby food in France doesn't have the same regulations regarding added salt/sugar that we have in UK & Ireland. Just something to bear in mind if you decide to buy over there. Anyone else hear/experience this?

Just a quick question. we're thinking of doing one of the Dreams Meals in Walts or Silver Spur Steakhouse. As its been a couple of years can you recommend which would probably be best for DS? Or did anyone find that they had issues with children in either of these restaurants?

We went in March and ds was 7mths,we took a cold water steriliser and a suitcase(yes,a whole suitcase)of milk cartons!lol!we took a pop up travel cot as well which was good as it didnt take up much space in the room(we were in the cheyenne)wrt food,we do BLW and he had most of what we ate,i have never seen him hoover up croissants so quickly,you may find that your lo isnt eating food by the time you go,ds didnt start eating until just before we went.i did take a box of breadsticks and some baby biscuits which was good for the times he couldnt eat what we did(ie pizza as he cant tolerate lactose v.well!!)

We're going when my ds will be 7 & half mths. Will def take cartons & was thinking of getting the disposable sterilised bottles. Will need to check he will take the milk from one before we go. Thought that way we'd have extra room in our luggage for more gifts hehe!

I think he will be eating before we go, he's already very interested in food and always grabbing for it but at not quite 4 months I'm reluctant to actually give him anything for another month or so yet! He will be 6months and 1 week when go so it's not like he's going to be on 3 meals a day, he will only be eating bits here and there so I'm not too worried about what I can find for him to eat lol x

That was the good thing about the suitcase of milk,it was empty on the way home so it would of been rude if i had left it empty!!hehe!next time i wont have that excuse as he doesnt take as much milk anymore
