DLP over New Year

Hi everyone, just new onto the forum.

I'm just back from DLP for the first time and thought it was excellant! Definitely will be heading back, and am considering going back over the New year Period.

Anyone else been over this period? What sort of celebrations are on? Busy?

Also just out of interest does anyone know what rides they are starting to build in Disney Studios?

I was there for this New Year and am going back for the next one!!

The park is busy but the atmos is electric! The hub is heaving towards midnight but there is disco style music playing etc....

I went on Big Thunder straight after the fireworks - everyone was chanting and it was great fun!

I'd recommend it if you have a few days there or have been before. As a one day only thing you'll find it is busy.

I'm just actually back from DLP, but already considering going back! Definitely fancy the New year idea, is the Christmas theme still going?

Yeah the Xmas stuff is all on....it runs through until early Jan.

Glad to hear you enjoyed DLP so much. They are building a Toon Town area in the Studios (not sure exactly what this will involve) due to open in 2007, and Tower of Terror due to open in 2008. Also Buzz is being built in Discoveryland due to open in April.

I saw them starting the work on the tower to terror!

Also saw that they were working down beside space mountain. Is that where they are putting Buzz lightyear?
