My wife, daughter, and I will be visiting DLP in late September this year.

Can anyone provide insights as to what are the best days to visit (low crowds) as well as what to expect for weather.

Also, what is the the level of acceptance regarding men wearing shorts while visiting the parks. In all of my visits to WDW, I don't think I have ever worn long pants. I am just curious.

Any insight would be appreciated.

If you can visit mid week you'll definitely have quieter parks.

In our summer visits I have always worn shorts :thumbsup2

We visited in the first week of October in 2004, midweek the parks were exceptionally quiet and the weather was superb, colder in the mornings and evenings but during the day we were in Tshirts. :goodvibes

hi :wave2: we went in 2005 and the weather was VERY hot and the park was extremely quiet, the longest we had to queue was 10minutes for dumbo.. all other ride we ethier walked straight on or waited just a couple of minutes for the next ride. we had complimentary hotel fast passes that we did not use at all..
we were there thursday--monday and spent the weekdays at Disneyland and the weekend at the studion and going to paris..(paris was very busy)

We went last year from 20 -24th Sep and had very good weather. We wore 3/4 length trousers and t-shirts most of the time and carried light fleeces with us for the early mornings/late evenings. :sunny:

The queues were very light during the week but very busy in the main park on Saturday but not so bad in the studios. We travelled Tuesday to Saturday.

Have been a few times on Sept and found the crowds light & the weather great, but there is always a danger of rain!

:sunny:

Always fun wearing a poncho with your shorts too :)

Thank you all for your information. We are truly looking forward to your visit. I'm sure I will be visiting/posting this board in the coming months.

Thanks again and see you in DLP in September.
