We're looking to go back to DLP in October half-term but we've only ever been in the Spring and have never been at that time of year before. I assume that things like parades change somewhat and I wondered if any of the rides don't operate at that time of year? And I've read about the Hallowe'en celebrations - does the Park close to everyone bar ticket holders during those events? So how different is it in late October? Thanks in advance.

I went in October, Halloween was everywhere, some rides closed, the Mark twain type boat and the Cars, in DL itself, Parades were Halloween at 4pm, the clsoe closes early and the halloween party is a seperate 'hard ticket' event that you have to pay for speratly.

I read somewhere that on a previous year they seemed to let everyone in, even those without tickets, I may have got that wrong though.

Since this would be unfair on those that have paid for tickets, and we plan to be one of those people this year, I'd like to know the real truth on this please?

I'm looking at going October half term too, combining it with DH's 40th, a day at the Paris Masters and DLP for Halloween.

What is this special Halloween party? How much extra does it cost?

Can anyone help with this and more general Halloween info.

Thanks :cheer2:

I think it was last year Annette that anyone was allowed to stay in, but I think you had to have a wristband to ride the attractions, which you got from the Halloween ticket. I agree though it does seem unfair especially as the park is renowned for being so busy on that particular evening.

Maybe they will have a rethink this year then? Though I suppose it's hard to enforce getting people out of the park, if they are already in there before the party starts, unless they close it, then reopen it again for the party? :headache:

I hope so Annette, after all we have to buy not so cheap tickets for a few hours of party :headache:

Sorry cant help but just wanted to say Hi. Whereabouts in Bolton are you? We live in Westhoughton.

Hi,

It was nice of you to say "Hello" we live very close, just up the road in Over Hulton - we probably pass each other on a regular basis shopping in Gee Tees!

We've been to DLP in May, August & September, just never during the Halloween season and was just looking for some info about it.

I'm trying to book the whole thing as a surprise, but for some reason its not all coming together at the moment, but I'll keep working on it!:cheer2:
