DLP in 1 Day?

Do you think it's possible to see both parks (the 'good' stuff) in one day? We are planning a trip for July to Paris and I def want to include DLP in there - but we are staying off property and it's gonna run us about $512 (2 adults/1 child) if we just buy tickets at the gate for 2 parks/2 days.

I am trying to cut costs and am hoping you guys can tell me DLP can be done in a day. *crosses fingers*

I think you'd find it difficult to do both parks in one day. Granted, neither are very big...but one day would be a stretch...but also, it would depend on which attractions you want to see, or parades/fireworks.

Would it be more cost effective to get a Disney package/hotel for your stay and then take the train into Paris for the day?

Short answer. No. I'm a Disney veteran and I did a day trip from 10am-11pm.....and we didn't leave the Disneyland Park once, and I'm a Studios gal! You will not be able to do both parks in one day. Especially in July, its summer season and crowded I'm afraid. Even if you prioritise just a few things to do, time will run out. I've got anniversary weekend trip in July over a Saturday till Tuesday and we're booking Walts on the Sunday, with no pretence we will get a lot done, but we WILL get into the Studios at one point!

If you're really struggling for costs, but want to fit as much as you can in, why not try looking into an off-site option? we stay very cheaply at the Elysee hotel (book it through booking.com) and that's on a Saturday night, about 80 euros usually.

(Have a look at the others in Val D'europe, though!

Then you could at least have two days, rather than rushing around with one?

To save even more money you can get 2 park/2 day tickets for €59 from http://www.ce-multiavantages.com/728/billet-2-jours-consecutifs.html There's a joining fee of €20 and postage of about €7 but it still works out far cheaper than buying at the gate.

Yes! I ordered from them & the tickets took just under 2 weeks to arrive here in Ireland. If you have any questions you can email them & they reply promptly. Quite a few people on this forum have purchased tickets & APs from them.

We've stayed at L'Elysee and thought the accommodations there were fine. We drive (and have free parking with our annual passport), but the train station is across the street from that hotel and DLRP is just one stop over.

We purchased our annual passports from ce-multiavantages. The discounted price meant we broke even on the 3rd or 4th day of our first visit. The rest of the year has been "free" (of course, it still costs us to drive there and get a room for a few nights).

As others have said, you could go ride a few rides at each park in one day, but there's no way you can really see even all of the "good" stuff at both parks in a single day. If you can truly swing only one day, I'd forego the park hopper and just visit Magic Kingdom.

I once did it in August 2007, we saw everything of the main park in just 1 day, and did all rides!

I have noticed this just isn't possible anymore, it's become busier and busier.

If you are looking for a hotel nearby, Bussy St Georges Premier Class was very nice.
I payed 40 € for 2 people / 1 night, very basic room, but it was all clean, so what else do you need more? hehe
(just stayed there a few days ago)

And it's 2 RER stops away from the park.

Thats the one we use - no breakfast included but hey, who actually eats breakfast when you could be in the park?!

It really is impossible to do the two parks in a day, off peak my Pirate managed to do a lot in both parks in one day, but it was freezing.....I'm a Summer chick by nature and the hotter the better, but the consequences are the crowds.

I agree, you won't see everything in 1 day - but as you are travelling so far, and staying so near, you may as well have a day at DLP You'll get a fair idea of the park and can take time to soak in the beauty of the castle, lands and general Disney feel. You'll certainly have time to fit in some of the main rides too.

It's a great idea for a night nearby off-site if you can make it, then you won't be worrying about getting back to Paris late in the evening, as you'll need to wait until park closing to see Dreams....which you must do

We're really only going for my son b/c he knows it's there - of course, for myself also b/c I need a 'hit' of some Disney Magic in my veins!

When I took my son to WDW a year ago, he had ZERO interest in Hollywood Studios. My Aunt ended up taking him back to the pool at the hotel and he was happy with that. KIDS!

I am thinking he'd only get a 'kick' out of seeing the 'main' park anyway...but it will be the day before Bastille Day (sp) and I know it's gonna be about as crowded as crowded gets!

I think 1 entire day there should be just enough to make him and myself happy - Hubs is just along for the ride - he has no interest in going at all - "Why on Earth would you wanna go to DL when we are in PARIS??"
I guess we'll see!
