I am planning a trip to London/Paris in for 2015 and we are looking at either the end of Aug or beginning of November. We do plan on taking a day to go to DLP and would like to do as much as possible in both parks, focusing on attractions that aren't at WDW and DL. How are the crowd levels and weather during each of these times? I have read that Aug is very busy, but I wasn't sure if that was during all of Aug or just during certain weeks.

All of August is pretty busy! What dates in November are you looking at?

The beginning and middle weeks of August are always busier than the last, it's still very busy though, just not as much as earlier in the month.

The benefits to going in August are late park hours, (hopefully! :rolleyes1 ) a fully functioning park and (again hopefully!) nice weather.

The benefits to November are the Christmas season will be starting (DLP really is beautiful at Christmas) and it will be far less crowded, especially if you can avoid weekends. The downside will be the weather and reduced park hours along with a stronger possibility of attraction and restaurant closures.

The first or second week of Nov. We had orginally planned to go in Sept but the friend that I am going with got a new job and can't take any time off in Sept or Oct. The last week of Aug seems so much more appealing because of the weather but I am just afraid of the crowds. I was kind of hoping it was like WDW where the last week of Aug seems to die down.

If you can go midweek after 11th November, you'll have empty parks and Christmas season :cloud9:. It gets dark at around 5pm too, so you get a couple of hours of rides in the parks in the dark before the parks close, and then you can save your main meal for after park closing time, and relax over it, either in the Village, or in one of the resort hotels.

Seeing DLP during Christmas season is a big appeal and we were planning on going mid-week whether we go in Aug or Nov.

I think weather is my biggest concern about Nov. While I don't care about having to wear sweaters, I don't want to have to worry about lugging around a coat the whole trip to London and Paris.

ah okay - yes, November will be winter coat weather at DLP.

I booked to go in August as I desperate to go this year and now thanks to the change in the law we are restricted to school holidays. I am very nervous though about how busy it is going to be.

Not as busy as you think! You get an access pass though right? We find middle August to be the worst last year. We went the end of July for 4 days and it was short queues, but mid August we went back for 8 days, with the last two manic. End of August went back down again, but the last two days of the Summer season bought the crowds out again.

(We are lucky with our school though as we had a difficult Christmas, and we got the week before Feb half term off and stayed for 9 days. It was full of British people but it wasn't as crowded as I'd expected. I'd happly go in February again if I couldn't get time off school. We're going to make that week one of our annual trips now to. To add with the other four we make lol! Maybe think of Feb, as we had an amazing time and it was my first trip off peak)

Yes I do get a pass but it doesn't take all the stress away infact when its busier a pass can be stressful as they don't always let you on the rides.

We are going 9th for 6 days, we went a few years ago the end of July and that was manic.

I'm sure with 6 days you'll get done what you need too. Maybe you'll enjoy how long summer hours and weather mean you can pace a bit more :)

Our very first visit was in August and we said never again - fast forward 17 visits further:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I think for a first time visit, when you don't know all the tricks and tips to get the most of the visit, you could have a hard time in the summer in Disney. Our first visit we did not know about Fastpass, or when some rides would be quieter, or to book resto's in advance etc.

I am going back this year again for August and am really looking forward to it. We now know the park like the back of our hands, know the best times to do certain things and have been so often and will go back lots more times that it does not matter if we get everything done or not :goodvibes

I am really looking forward to hopefully having glorious weather - the thought of being able to watch Dreams in just a t-shirt is a great one:goodvibes

I think you can have a fab time peak season, but it definately worth doing lots of homework before hand
