They do indeed cost 6e per day to hire plus a 50e refundable deposit (if I remember correctly). And they can be hired from the first shop on the right just as you enter the park. Well worth it too! You can actually hire them for longer than a day and take them back to your Hotel. A godsend for tired children (and tired adults too :) ) at the end of a magical day!

Hello hollybeth and welcome to the DIS!! :wave2:

I found the hire stroller to be rather cumbersome and I couldn't go up kerbs!! But on the plus side, they apparently have a bit on the back for a bigger child to stand on - if that's relevant to you. If you've got a very young child, I would recommend bringing your own buggy, otherwise the hire ones will probably do.

The deposit last week was 75 euros if you want to take the stroller out of the parks, I think this is probably refunded when you return the stroller at the end of your trip, but there was a bit of a language problem at the hire shop - Ann, my sister couldn't really get any sense out of them so we chose to hire everyday, if you do this and go from the Disney park to WDS or vice versa you have to return the buggy, then with the voucher you're given rehire in the other park.
As Bexx said they all have a "buggy board" type thing for older children, we lost our stroller several times, they have a tendency to disappear whilst you're on rides, in shows, etc., as you don't want to have to be walking back to Main Street to get another if this happens, either take a small chain/padlock or resign yourself to doing what I did and take someone else's, (not withour feeling guilty I might add).

Hi hollybeth and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new one for each, and I'm sure lots will join in to help :goodvibes

We have used the buggies on a number occassions and unless you bring your own are definitely worth the €6 charge. If you want to remove the buggy then you have to pay a deposit, otherwise all you have to pay is €6.
Keep your ticket as it will ensure you get a replacement should it get mislaid  , sometimes by helpful CM's who remove it if it causes an obstruction and also if you park hop. On production of your ticket you will be provided with another stroller without having to pay again :thumbsup2

As you can see ours gets well loaded :teeth:

Wish I had know that you get another buggy if you keep your receipt.

Like Jill said ours went missing for the first three days. It seem to be if you left them with nothing on for more than 30mins ie lunchtime or when we went to see the lion king. I did think it could be CM's cleaning up. Then I saw a woman take her scaf off and tie it to the buggy when she went on a ride. I did this every time after and the buggy was always where I left it.

Feeling a bit guilty now about taking others to replace mine :confused3 , wish I'd know about the receipt bit. :guilty:
