Day 3
I woke this morning and looked out of my balcony to a massacre! It was truely a horrible site.....for a Disney fan anyhow! The gardeners were out and replanting the mickey bed at the front of the hotel...how can anyone dig up mickeys face?? SCARY! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Today we headed for the disneyland park. First though we headed to that well known attraction... Breakfast! :woohoo:
Breakfast in Castle Club is a civilised affair! White linen table cloths and napkins and tea served in proper china tea pots! The food on the buffet was plentyful and really tasty and included... Fruit, (fresh and salad!), Strawberries (Yummy), A selection of pastries and breads, hams and cheeses, and then a hot selction of bacon, sausages and scrambled eggs. Well full and warmed up we head out into the park.
First stop a new ride for us a DLP...Phantom manor!

Now look at my signiture...how many times have I been to DLP and only just getting around to P-Manor! Truth be known I'm a big woos as well as a big kid, and it wasnt until we went to WDW in 2004 that I finally plucked up the courage to go on the ghost train! Glad i did though its great and the ride at DLP is just as good, although the french audio is a bit annoying in places. My french is quite good ...but french ghoul or ghost is harder to under stand!
Next we walked through to fantasyland...my favourite land! We ride another new one the tea cups! We spin so fast that neither of us can walk in a straight line when we get off...typical 11am and drunk already! :rotfl:
We walk straight across to its a small world and ride the little boat ride..I love this Hubbie doesnt!
Last ride before lunch Star tours. We use our VIP fast passes for this. Handy these little tickets. If you stay in CC or a suite in other hotels you are entitled to VIP fastpasses. No need to grab the FP tickets just use the FP entrance when you like and as many times as you like! We virtually walk straight onto star tours and the ride is as good as ever. Great pre ride commentary from a 6/7 yr old lad behind us telling his dad how we were really going into space.... he was stangely quiet through the bumpy part of the ride though! :teeth:
For lunch we settle on Victoria's at the top of M-St. We have a Croque Monsier each (Ham and cheese toastie to us!) a brownie and a large drink to share (Total cost around E15). In hind site one sandwich and maybe some crisps would have been better, the sarnies were huge!
After luch we head back to fantasyland and ride Snow White and Pinocchio in close succession.. The park was really quiet today and the longest we waited for any ride was 10mins. Last ride today was Peter pans flight. A personal favourite of mine, I love the flying over london bit. Being a london girl it's great to get ot fly over my home town, turn at the second star to the right and then onto neverland! Again we use our VIP FP here good job... we wait 10mins as opposed to 30 in the standby line!

We head back to the hotel for the afternoon to use the pool. Heres the entrance to the pool..

After our swim we go the CC lounge for afternoon tea, but i'll save the piccys and report for another part!
We then have 40 winks...hubbie needed a break!
For the evening we head out to parkside diner at HNY for dinner. This was the only bad meal of our trip. Dinner here is a buffet affair, and costs E25 a head. The selection on the buffet was minimal and not to our taste. So much so that we both ended up eating off the kids buffet! It must have been bad as we weren't the only adults doing so! Another bug i have with DLP is how the costs of drinks goes up with the grade of hotel. The same beer here was 2E more than the one hubbie had at SL last night! And in our opinion this restaurant was worse than the one in SL. The only good thing..I walk out with my place mat (paper one!) a nice piccy of Mickey and Minnie with a yellow NY cab!

Back to our pink palace ..on the way back we stop and take some piccys of me in the ticket hall with no-one else around, it was kind of creepy being so quiet! Then off to the land of nod.

Tomorrow Shopping at La Vallee, and California Grill for dinner.

A great report, and I am getting very tempted by CC :) It sounds like an amazing experience.

sounds like you had a wonderful day, we enjoyed victoria's for lunch, and like you 1 croquie mosore would have been enough for both me and dh,. and 1 mickie pizza for 2 kids, tehy are huge as well, but very tasty. look forward to the next part, i would love to stay in cc, maybe maybe if i wish hard enough i will get to stay there with matt, as he says he will only go back if we stay in the pink hotel and in luxury, whihc sounds like what you had.

Another excellent installment. CC sounds fantastic.
Look forward to the photos :goodvibes

It all sounds wonderful, apart from the Parkside Diner - shame that wasn't a success. I don't know when it started doing a buffet meal, but it used to be very nice.

thanks for part 2. More great photos. i would love to do cc one day. :)

when we went last to the Parkside diner they just had a kids buffet, which I did not really think was very good as it was more party food than an actual meal.. crisps and such.we used to share are own food with our daughter
I'd be less inclind to go if it is a complete buffet now :sad2:

A brilliant day- the VIP Fastpass sounds great!!!

princess: Caroline princess:

That was lovely - and now I know what the difference between an ordinary fastpass and VIP fastpass is!
