DLH questions

We just booked our first trip, as a family, to DL. DH hasn't been to DL for about 20 years, this will be first time ever for me and our kids.

We are staying at DLH, booked a "Premium" room. Do all premium rooms have a sofa bed? Would it be crazy to request a fireworks view? If I were to make specific requests( fireworks, sofa bed, if not already equipped) is there a time frame that eould be best to make such requests, like now, 7 weeks out or closer to the day of check-in?

I feel like my brain is soo full of Disney info, but also feel
completely clueless at the same time!

most all rooms have a sofa bed or chair.

We had a standard room and could easily see fireworks.

Adventure tower I hear is a good choice of request for fireworks as long as it is DTD facing . We were recently in a Frontier tower room - 11th floor I think..and had a pool/teme park view ( could see Big Thunder , Matterhorn , Top of Splash) and we had an amazing fireworks view. We were booked in a deluxe room category at the time and requested adventure but were very happy with what we got.

Us too!! Standard view in Fantasy during DL Half weekend, fireworks every night!!

Awesome! Sounds like a specific tower doesn't matter so much!

When should I make the request? I booked through a third party and there was no where to make special requests, so I assume I need to contact the hotel directly.

Yes call directly and make the requests. We have booked through Orbitz before and they had no issues finding and noting down our requests. I call 3-5 days before arrival typically but you can call anytime.
