Hello
This is our first trip to DL. I have 2 small children 18months and 3 years old. We are planning to go at the end of October for Haloween. Which hotel would be better. We were think conceirge at PP or a resort view room at DLH. I have been at WDW 7 times , so we are excited about our trip to DL:cool1: :tink:

Thanks:wizard:

We were in both hotels and they both are nice, but I loved the feeling of the DLH and I think it's pool area would win over our family. Just my 2cents. :thumbsup2

Hi!

I have stayed at both and I personally love the DLH. We are returning for what will be my third trip to the DLH in 34 days(yes I am counting!) There are little touches at the DLH that I love like the Tinkerbell wallpaper trim that glows in the dark if you leave your curtains open during the day. And I love the DTD view. One thing nice about the DLH is it is closer for you to get to with tired little ones. The pool at DLH is very themed for kids. DLH is themed more for kids too. PPH is a little further from the park and some of the hubbub so it has benefits too. Either way it's a safe bet that you will enjoy your stay.:wave2: :earsboy:

We were there last week and stayed at DLH. It is very close to the monorail (Sierra Tower). Like I think it took us 3 minutes with our five year old to get to the monorail. We used the monorail everyday to take breaks at the room. The pool was great and my son was talking more about the pool then he was some of the rides. I would like to stay at GC for a DH and me trip but we will stay at DLH again for the reasons noted by others above. Also having Goofy's Kitchen there was a plus.

For me the Disneyland Hotels wins. I do like PP and enjoyed both our stays there but the DLH is better in my opinion because:

Nicer, spread out grounds that include two pools, koi ponds, fountains and some very lovely landscaping. PP does not have that at all.

Nicer main pool. It is a Peter Pan themed pool with a pool bar and snack bar (PP's is often not open and its a bar only). DLH also has a quiet pool with a large sandy area and there is also a small sandy area at the main pool that is fun for little kids to play in. PP does have an awesome slide but the pool is very boring with no grass or sand to enjoy.

More dining options at the DLH.

More Disney touches at the DLH. The furniture, wallpaper border, towel racks, bedspreads, and artwork all have nice Disney touches that just add to the magic.

Closer to the parks and monorail, every step counts at the end of a long day in the parks!

Good luck with your decison, there is no wrong choice here since they are both lovely hotels!
