DLH -nespresso machine

Hi all,

Not long now and getting a tad excited .

Does anyone know if coffee machines and kettles are standard in all rooms at the DLH. I saw one on the hotel review page and got excited.... I'd like to take my own coffee pods but don't want to buy any if there isn't a machine.

Sorry to disappoint, but I don't think they are. We didn't have one at DLH, although we did call and ask for a kettle be delivered without a problem.

I saw a Nespresso machine somewhere as well on a hotel pages, must have been DLH.

I noticed in Paris last year you can buy other brand pods for the Nespresso machines, forgot to buy some

I think it is mainly the CC rooms that have nespresso machines. I'm almost 100% though that one of our rooms did have a machine in it - in the TV cabinet. We never used it though .

This time I am taking coffee/tea bags and going to ask for a kettle/cups. I think it will come in handy if we just want to get out for EMH in the morning - quick cuppa! Just need to organise some milk as I can't drink milk maid stuff! Yuck! Also thinking of taking some cartons of fresh juice for the DDs as they'll need a drink first thing too. Saves buying them in the park and Salon Mickey doesn't open until 9 am.

Thanks for the replies. I think I'll take some pods just in case, won't be the end of the world if there isn't one.
DLP Dreams -As for milk we take a small flask and fill at breakfast. It stays pretty cold or fill a water bottle and put in an ice bucket. Used to to this when DD was still having bottles!

Ms Poppins, you posted a picture of a Nespresso machine taken during your last stay the Hotel New York - is that right? Or was it Photoshopped?!

When we stayed at the DLH and asked for a kettle, I was told that they don't supply them as you can order hot drinks from room service! Not blinking likely at those prices!!! (Wow, I always sound so cheap on these boards!)

Yes, we did have a nespresso machine and kettle with coffee pods and tea bags. But, these were extras, not standard. We had other things added too, as a result of me sending an email explaining it was a birthday trip. We've been to HNY 5 times, and this is the only time we've had these so I can only assume it was as a result of my email to them.

We stayed at DLH in 2010 and had a kettle delivered within minutes of requesting it - no questions asked!
