DLH Facilities

I was thinking champagne and balloons but at that price maybe I'll bring my own, LOL!

I had considered that, but we are flying & I don't think you could buy champagne in Belfast before we get on the plane - the shops are very limited - and I didn't know if they sell it in the RER train station. Plus requesting it to the room might give me a better chance of a nice room (I hope).
Once we stayed in a suite in NPBH & we were left a half bottle of champagne for free & a cuddly toy & a mug & sweets & some flowers another day & mickey shortbread biscuits most days & only once we got the chocolate coins! We were spoilt (but it cost a fortune to stay there)!

We used dlp.dlh.front.office@disney.com They are not very good at getting back to you. We had to phone again this morning to make sure they had got it this time - and they had, but had not replied. The half bottle of champagne was 35 euro but could have been up to 100 euro :scared1: Let's hope for that price I get something else as well (preferably a cuddly toy) and that they leave champagne glasses too, otherwise we will be drinking champagne out of my 2 year old's plastic cup! What are you thinking of requesting?

Don't worry Karen, I'm bringing plastic cups from Tesco's 'value' range - you are welcome to a couple of those!:rotfl:

We'll be on the Eurostar and I confess I haven't a clue what you're allowed to take on it - since I haven't heard anything to the contrary I presume in theory we could take a bottle of champagne?

I arrive on Saturday, but you don't arrive 'til Sunday. I don't know if the champagne will last that long!:lmao:

We had a nice view over Fantasia Gardens. I think you can pay extra for a view, but it gets so dark so early - how much will you see?

Ooooooh just enjoy. Use the pool at quiet times if you can - it feels so luxurious when it is empty of others.

Take lots and lost of photos - it is lovely to look back on and remember the luxury of it all.

I can only sign the last two points of what hildasmuriel said here. Take loooots of photos and don’t forget to share them with us. ;-)

And it really is lovely to use the pool during the day when it is almost empty.

But even in the dark time of the year the view of your DLH room can make a difference. Look what a nice view we had when we stayed there in June.

And look how even more great this room was when it was dark. And during the Winter month you can enjoy this look much longer than in the Summer month.

Thank you Marcus - the view is lovely. I know you are a big fan of the DLH. Any hidden details to look out for?

The hotel itself is a big hidden detail. ;)

Just keep your eyes open and enjoy everything and try to soak up all the little lovely details. :thumbsup2

I am more excited about staying there than any other aspect of the trip. I intend to make the most of it.:)

You could keep it on ice until your birthday. ;)
I'm sure they would supply a couple of flutes - I would ask if there aren't any there, they should have a few in the CG!:rotfl:

Does anyone know if you can request a kettle in your room or are you supposed to just ask room service for hot drinks?

I'm hoping for a kettle! Someone should be able to answer this for us!:)

Joolz - I have long hair and it always takes an age to dry with those silly wall hairdryer thingys - was a bit concerned about it but didn't have the room to take my own. Our hairdryer was absolutely fine and worked well :thumbsup2

Enjoy to all those going soon. I am soooo envious ;)

Hmm - I am now wondering about the hidden comment from Marcus :confused3 ??

I know the wallpaper is super disney detailed with closer inspection...

Thanks. One of my pet hates is a weak hairdryer. My eldest DD has the thickest hair I've ever come across and I wash my hair every day, so we need a reasonable hairdryer!

;) What I meat was: It is Disney. Just keep your eyes open and be open-minded and then you will discover new things and lovely details every day. :thumbsup2

No but i did see some teenage girls in there pjs in the morning with the characters and running up and down the corridors.
Haha, cute!

In vegas it seemed loads of people went to breakfast in thier PJs, mine were a bit too brief to join in! Same at my University in LA.

I'd be a bit too embarrased to join in at the DLH even if people did do it. Plus I don't tend to go back to the room after brekkie.

Did you go to dinner in slippers on purpose? Or did you only realise when you got there?
