DLH construction impact

Not necessarily. They could be facing the pool. We had a room facing the pool this past weekend. Noise from the new tower was non-existent on the weekends, but there was some noise heard on Monday and Tues am.
I forgot there is a premium view AND a premium Downtown Disney view.

What are the differences? I dont remember which one we booked - just went off what the reservation confirmation page says.

Here is a breakdown:

Deluxe View: view of pool from lower floors (faces inwards)

Premium View: views of pool from upper floors (faces inwards)

Premium Downtown Disney View: upper floors of Adventure tower (faces away from the pool)

If your reservation just says "Premium View" you will have a pool view in one of the three towers on the upper floors (8 and up).

The Downtown Disney Premium View is a higher room rate category and is ONLY rooms in Adventure tower.

The rooms facing away from the pool in Fantasy and Frontier tower are all Standard View rooms or suites. The lower floors of Adventure tower facing Downtown Disney are also standard view. We were in a room on the 4th floor of Adventure tower in April and it was standard view.

This is VERY helpful thank you!

This is a great synopsis. I just want to add that some rooms are labeled Standard because they have an impacted view. For instance, I had a room in Adventure facing DTD on I think the 5th floor but the view was obstructed by palm trees. There are various rooms like that where you get a partially obstructed view but they are in a deluxe or premium location.

*edited to add: the room still had a nice view and I'd rather look at a palm tree than a roof or parking lot.

The floors below 8 on the Downtown Disney facing side of Adventure are all Standard View rooms.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a specific tower to request for a 2 room family connecting suite to avoid the construction as much as possible?

I wanted to be in Adventure with mine but they said the 2 room family connecting suite isn't available in Adventure. I'm not sure if it's in Fantasy, may only be in Frontier but I'm not sure. You could call the hotel directly and ask. Not the main travel line, but Disneyland Hotel.

Thank you for the info. I have reached out to the hotel directly but they said to call back when we are within 10 days of arrival and of course I didn't even think to ask if they had suites in the adventure tower. We plan on upgrading to club level so if there are not connecting suites available in Adventure which would be the next closest tower?

The next closest would be Fantasy, but I'm not sure if they have that suite type there. We upgraded to club level when we stayed, it was really nice. Kind of a drag having to walk over from Frontier, but still a great club.

I've asked that specific question a couple of times of both the reservation folks and the front desk. At least with regard to the 2- bedroom junior connecting suite, I've have yet to receive an answer.

We were upgraded to a suite in 2015 and it was in Fantasy tower, but it was a standard 2 queen beds room connected to a living room that had a queen sleeper sofa, dining table for 4 and additional bathroom. I don't know if that is the same suite you are asking about. It slept 6.

Honestly I'm not even sure what the layout is of the family connecting suite. I have tried to find recent posts and video's of them but am really not finding much information on them.

I *think* there is only 1 Jr 2 bedroom connecting suite. I will see if I can get someone to tell me where it is. I believe thee layout is wrong in the description and it should bee 1 king bed in the main room, 2 queens in the connecting room and a sofa sleeper that folds out to a queen.

We stayed in the 2 room family connecting suite in June, all of the pictures I posted on this thread are from that suite. It's supposed to be able to sleep 6-10 people. We had 2 king beds and a small sofa bed.

So ours was at the end of the hall and there were double doors. You open those and are in a little foyer. To the left was a door to a bedroom with a king bed, desk and bathroom, and balcony with views of the parking lot and construction.
The door on the right led to a larger suite. This had a half bath, wet bar, living room with sofa bed and a fluffy chair and a desk. There was a sink, mini fridge and cabinets in the wet bar. Windows on all sides overlooked the pool and construction. This room had a second balcony.
Through the living room area was another bedroom with a king bed and full bathroom. There was a dresser also. This room had a huge window overlooking the pool and construction.
All of the rooms had tvs and a dresser.
We left the doors between the rooms open the whole time so it was like one giant suite, but you could close the doors if you wanted to. The double doors leading in from the main hallway lock.

I find it funny we are all commenting here and there is a disneyland hotel super thread that gets NO love lol..

That being said, I am hoping to get our standard room in fantasy tower. I have watched videos and I want the theming of fantasy tower. How do I request this? Do I do it when I do online check in a week before? Should I call? I mean it won't be the end of the world but since this is our major splurge dream and we are staying 7 nights I really want it lol
