Looking for help or hints for our booking dilemma.

DH has a conference in Anaheim March 14-20. Family tagging along - DW, DSister, 2 DDs.

Scenario: booking DLH 6 nights, airfare, and Park Hoppers in a package would save us about $550 off airfare from Seattle to LAX. Total cost: $3750

Booked Separately: Hotel - $1774 + Airfare for 5 - $1723 + 5 day PHs $795 for a grand total of $4292

Problem: DH must submit conference receipts for his hotel and airfare without other 'attendees' (ie: the stowaways).
I called Disneyland Reservations and asked if they could process his receipt separately for airfare and hotel with the other 4 flights on a separate receipt, and she said "No." Flat out - no - the confirmation would all have to be on the same receipt in order for us to take advantage of the lower airfare prices, so DH could not submit to his School Board for reimbursement.
Help! Can anyone else relate? Any ideas or similar experience?

If his office is paying anyway, book the package for the rest of you and do his thing seperately. Then he just submits his own for reimbursement.

Can you book his first, get the total, then add the rest of you to the reservation? Call Disney and ask what their policy is on adding guests to an existing reservation.

Thanks for the suggestions,
I'll call and ask them about adding others to the booking! As for getting DH to pay separately, then we'll end up footing the bill for the hotel:sad1:which we won't have to do if he books alone.

I'm off to call Disney for the bzillionth time! Hope they don't track the phone #, they may stop answering my calls :rolleyes1

I've thought that same thing when we are planning our trips. So far for our Feb trip, I've called and changed from the GC to DLH and back to the GC. Once dining reservations open up, I'll be calling constantly as I change things over and over again!

Since airfare is the concern between booking a package and not, maybe you should wait a little longer to book your air, you can usually get better fares about 3-4 months out. Southwest flies from Seattle, so that may be your cheapest option. Their schedule is out through March 9 (I think) so in a few weeks it should open up for your dates.

Thanks - we'll wait and see about flights.

Any idea how far in advance we should book the DLH? I guess we can change ressies if needed at a later date, so might be best to book it now! I keep hearing about the Expedia rates that come out, but am not able to book the DLH yet. It says 'no available dates' when I enter ours for March 07. Maybe the same thing as the flights? Keep the info coming!!! :thumbsup2
