First of all I'd like to thank everyone here...this has been a wealth of information for our up coming trip. I've been going to DLR for 20 some-odd years and I'm so excited to have new things to do, see, etc!

So we're staying at the DLH and I've read that as long as you're at one of the resort hotels, you can enter any or all of the MM available during your stay. How does that work? I received my tickets from WDTC and they say "includes one magic morning". Do you show your room key or something like that? Main reason for the question is my brother has decided to join us at the last minute. So I was going to buy an e-ticket for him, but then wondered about his ability to get into MM.

Thanks for all of your help! :)

Yes, you just show your room key. As long as your brother is staying in the DLH too, he can come with you all days.

All parkhopper tickets include one magic morning, but it's an unofficial perk that if you stay at one of the resort hotels, you are allowed to go to all of them. They won't guarantee it, in case they ever change that policy, but so far they haven't- probably because it's the only way AP holders can get into Magic Morning, and it would cause a huge uproar if they took that privelege away!

MM rocks, you can do so much in the first hour with low crowds! :thumbsup2 Have a great trip!

All adults and kids over a certain age (I think 9), will need to have a room key in order to get in for MM each day it's offered. At least this was how it worked when we were at the PP in October. So, make sure when they are issuing room keys, you get one for your brother.

I have a question regarding the MM - we are taking our 1st trip to DL end of May. We are staying at DLR for five days - so are we eligible to take part in the MM WITHOUT a special voucher? If so, can we attend every MM offered during the course of our stay as long as we are resort guests?

Just trying to get clarification. Also, if that is the case, I'd be happy to pass along the "vouchers" we received with our ticket purchase.....no sense using them if we get the perk "free" with our resort stay.

Thanks!

Wendy

I absolutely love the MM! What a fantastic way to ride the classics with no big lines! Heaven! Last Aug. we went to one (stayed at DLH) and while getting ready to board the Monorail (this is where we showed our hotel key) DBF realized he hadleft his ticket and key in the room!AAAARRRRGGhhh! (Insert "What were you thinking? We have been waiting in line all this time and it never occurred to you...blah...blah...) But when we got to the ticketguy he just waived us through , no explanation needed. thank god!:headache::dance3: but I guess you never do know.

How? For onsite guests, each guest must show their "Key to the Magic" card. This is just a fancy name for your room key, which you can also use to charge in-park purchases. It is given to each member of your party at check-in with the dates of your stay and that person's name. You also need a valid source of admission ticket for entrance. For guests staying offsite, you enter just like you would normally and the MM is deducted from your ticket. For all guests, there is no extra piece of paper or voucher needed for MM. Just your ticket and if you are staying onsite, your room key.

There are no MM vouchers existant. You may be confusing Magic Mornings with Mickey's Toontown Morning Madness (MTTMM): (also from the thread)
Is MM the same as Mickey's Toontown Morning Madness?
No, Mickey's Toontown Morning Madness (MTTMM) is ONLY for people who buy packages from AAA, Costco, Disney, etc. MTTMM is entry into Mickey's Toontown one hour before it opens. Since Mickey's Toontown usually opens one hour after official park opening, MTTMM often begins at official park opening. Different to MM days, MTTMM is offered on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, making Saturday the only day in which both MM and MTTMM is offered.

DLR29 - thank you SO much for clarifying between the two! I really was confused!

So the voucher goes with a package and is for MTTMM and the MM is the extra "option" that is on the tickets you purchase, correct?

So when you go through turnstile, it deducts the MM option from your ticket. But if you are staying on property, it doesn't matter, you can go regardless by using your ticket and showing your room key.

Do I have it straight now??? I hope so!!!!

Thanks so much for the help!

Yes.

Yes. :)

I don't know why Disney decided to change Early Entry (EE) to Magic Morning, thereby getting it confused with MTTMM. Honestly, what were they thinking?

Ooh maybe they'll be putting in an Expedition Everest and they didn't want to get confused. Yeah, right....:rotfl:
