Hellooooo fellow Disney Geeks!!!

So first time to the world. I'm so heppy!! I suppose I should share the details cause I know your just dying for them:surfweb:.

So they're me. Mom and wife. I'm the one behind the camera so there are not any pictures of me. Super disney geek, goofy is my hero.

DH. No people skills, doesn't do crowds or heat well. I've got a great idea, lets drag him to Disneyworld!!!:rotfl: I love him, he takes care of us, but I think someone killed his imagination. Always accuses me of living in la-la-land. However, he loves us, too, and is willing to take one for the team so the rest of us la-la-land dwellers can have a good time.

DD10. Total drama diva, and very much a girly-girl. I think she was more excited to go on a plane than the idea of a trip to the world. DL is only a 6 hour drive away.

DD3. My Little Monkey. He's a big kid, he could easily pass as a 4 year old. He's very solid and very strong. Like a typical boy, he could give the energizer bunny a run for his money.

DSis. She's coming along as a sitter for the little ones. In the past, DH and I could never to anything together. One of us would always have to stay back with the kids (mostly DS). We figured if we're gonna drop a significant chunk of change, we might as well enjoy ourselves, too.

The plan: As you can see from my ticker, we're going in early October and are going to the halloween party.
We're flying out of Sacramento and are going to use Happy limo for transportation to our hotel. Right now the hotel is Buena Vista Suites. Before I run for cover, let me explain our choice for off-site sleeping quarters. Mostly price. We don't plan to spend a lot of time in our hotel and do not want to pay for extra cool disney stuff we are not going to use. DS is to wiggly for table service places, I'll be lucky if Chef Mickeys turns out to be a success. Stroller rental trough Orlando Stroller Rental. Transportation to and from the parks will be provided by the hotel.
Coming from CA, we are going to need a day to fly in and a day to fly out. The Halloween party will be on a day we don't go to the parks. A six day no hoper pass for the rest of the vacation. The first four days will be at each park, the remaing days will be up to the kids to choose.

Being first timers, I would welcome any advise reguarding my plans or suggesting anything I missed. I have a few questions also and I'll have more as the trip comes more into plan. Like, is it esential to resserve Chef Mickey's six months out? Can DS bring a filled sippy cup on an airplane?

There have been a few changes!!! The only thing that hasn't changed is the dates. Still going October 14-22, still flying out of Sacramento CA, and still going to the MNSSHP.

What has changed? Well, DSis isn't going. It's just the four of us. We may meet up with my DB his wife and kids. They were super locals, but DB got a medical discharge from the service and has taken a job that's 6 hours away from the world. I should be getting a message rather soon if they are going to be able to come play with us.

We are staying ON PROPERTY!! Our other home is POFQ. I did get an email asking if we wanted to upgrade to Boardwalk for and extra $33/night ($264 total). Hubby said no, he'ld rather spend that money in the parks and argued that we wouldn't be in the hotel enough to enjoy it. pffft!! logic!!! Because we're staying on property, we're using ME.

The Plan:
Oct 14 Friday
Fly out of CA, flight is scheduled for 8:30am
Arrive MCO at 8:30pm, we have a 2.5 hour layover in TX

Oct 15 Saturday
Animal Kingdom day
ADR's at Raglen Rd in DTD at 6:30pm

Oct 16 Sunday
HS day
ADR's at 50's Prime Time 1:00pm(I keep hearing horrible reviews for CS at HS)

Oct 17 Monday
Epcot day
DH has said he's going to leave me with the kids while he eats his way around the world. With the F&W festival happining, I have a feeling that we'll be doing a lot of snacking all day. However, just in case that doesn't happen we have ADR's at Beirgarden at 1:30pm.

Oct 18 Tuesday
MNSSHP
Sleep in
leave hotel at 3pm to ensure 4pm arrival at MK for the kid's Harmony Barbor Shop appointment at 4pm.

Oct 19-21 Wed-Friday
Kids choice
good possiblity that we'll be going to MK on Wed since that will be the last full opperating day while we are there.

Here are the kids. This is taken at New Orleans Square in DL in Novemeber 2010.

Yeah!!!! We got a costume for the Monkey!!!! DS3 is a pretty big kid, he's about as tall as your average 5year old. Finding anything that fits him right now has become a challenge. He's inbetween a toddlers 4t and a kids XS. Right now he's on a ghostbuster kick. When he saw that our local halloween store had a ghostbuster costume, he was beyond excited:cool1:. We tried the costume on in the store. It was a little long in the leg, but nothing I couldn't take care of. We get home and try on the inflatable proton back and run into trouble. The pack is way to big!! We sinched it as tight as it would go, it still slides off. The costume is no fun without the pack, so back to the halloween store for an exchange. DS chooses Spiderman. We try on the costume in the store and it's a perfect fit. We get home and try on the mask, and the mask is too small. So, another trip to the halloween store. Got the other spinderman costume. This one is a little long in the leg and lights up:banana: hurray!!! We have a keeper.

This weekend I get to go back to the halloween store to get DD10's costume. She wants the gypsy princess costume. I may be serching for a while. Our local halloween store has it, but it's either too big or too small. I may have to go to the neighboring halloween store.

LOL. I'm the same. There are very few photos of me. I like it like that! But I did manage to find a couple of pics with me and put them in my PTR.

I love reading about those lucky people who are going at Halloween and Christmas. We go in Jan because it's the best time for us but we do miss out on all the decorations. I'm hoping there will a few stragglers with decos up at the Fort when we arrive on Jan 4th!!

I was fortunate enough to be able to choose from October or November. The main factors of why October won out was 1)my birthday is the 14th of Oct 2) between MNSSHP and MVMCP, the halloween party gets better reviews and better deal/dollar and 3) Halloween is my favorite "holiday". I would have liked to see the osborne lights and the gingerbread houses at the resorts, and the santas around the world, but the halloween stuff is so much more "cooler" to me. I'm sure I'll be able to get a couple of me in the shots with the help of photopass and hubby taking pics of me with my favorite villians.:thumbsup2

I found you!!!

Hubby and I love Raglan Road! I also enjoyed 50's Prime Time... the Sci-Fi also gets pretty good reviews...

Tusker House in AK was a good character meal if you are looking for one of those!

We are dinning out of pocket. The free dinning plan doesn't cover the week we are going:confused3. I have also learned from our experiances at Minnie's Plaza and Goofy's Kitchen: the kids eat cerial. I don't want to pay $28/per kid if they only eat cerial.;)

I'm so glad you found me!!! Stay tuned to facebook, too. I'll be posting pics along the way of our adventures. I'll have another PTR update this weekend with costome pics.

Well, still not sure if DBro and his family are going to play with us. They are in the middle of buying a house and there is a possiblity that it could close the week of the vacation. We should know for sure a couple days before. In the mean time, I need to see if I can still book a stroller through Orlando Stroller Company.

Everything else is lined up perfectly. We recived our Mickey Mail about a week ago. I did have to call ME because our arrival flight numbers aren't what was printed in our booklet.

So, here are some pictures. This is my park bag and carry on bag.

Better late than never! I just noticed the link in your ticker.

We are staying at the same place at the same time and going to MNSSHP on the same night! :rotfl:

Mommy2mrb is staying there to and we have been talking about meeting at the pool the morning of MNSSHP as we both have resort/pool time before the party. You should come find us! :goodvibes. I'll have my LGMH buttons on something so you can spot us if you decide to meet up. :thumbsup2

Just 2 more weeks!

That's a spendid idea!! I'll have to see what the hubby says, though. He's not really looking forward to hanging out with strangers. Then again, you guys could just be some people I met there and he'd never know the difference.:rotfl: It's been decided that some time that morning/early afternoon we're going to DTD to play in Goofy's Candy Company if we weren't able to make an apperance on Saturday before or after Raglen Rd. I just learned about the build your own rice crispy treat.:thumbsup2

So, here's Duffy and Boo. I was amazed at how soft Duffy is!! My little Monkey insisted that him a Boo are best friends and they are going with us to WDW and ride rides with us!!

I also found out that my Bro and his family are not going to be able to play with us. Their buying a house and it looks like it's going to close the week of the vacation. DH rather likes that idea. He always prefers it to be "just us".

So, down to 8 days. DS has his first field trip tomorrow, there may or may not be a birthday dinner this weekend to celebrate my other Bro's and mines birthdays. His was the first and mine is the 14th. My sis and I are conspiring for it and have to talk Dad into it. Wednesday is mani/pedi day for my and DD, Thursday is pack and shower, Friday is early am trek to the airport. Flight leaves at 8:30am, takes an hour to get there, and you gotta be there about 2 hours early for security and other misshaps that might could happen.

After re-reading what I typed, it looks as though Thursday is the only day I shower:lmao:. I meant that I will shower the night before departure instead of morning of (like normal) just so I can have that little extra sleep. Mornings are not my friends:confused3

I won't let on that we've 'met' before! :thumbsup2

My DD is 8 and gets along with kids of all ages, so if you guys do any pool time, they could play.

My DH isn't a people person either, but he is very good at humoring me and is quite used to me and my schemes! :lmao:

Sounds like a plan!! How did you get your hubby to go along with the schemes? Mine will, at the last minute, change his mind about going and stay home, sending me with the kids. In fact, the main reason he's coming along is because FL is 50 states away from CA, too far to be separted to his mind. I will say he's lightening up a bit, he was really high strung before I got to him.:wizard:

See you in about a week or so.:goodvibes

Well - I've had him for about 24 years!:lmao: The other thing is I have never tried to push him too far out of his comfort zone. I socialize and he sits back and watches me. I'm a planner and he goes along. I, also, don't make him go on every trip I go on. Course the big thing with this trip is that he loves all things Mickey! :rotfl:

We are sooo close! I am ready to hop on that plane and get our Disney on!:cool1:

Weeeee!!!! So excited!!!! The Mickey love helps, I'm sure. And 24 years is a long time to break in a husband:lmao: I've only had mine for 4 years, he'd never been to Disneyland or WDW. He liked Disneyland (not loved) and he says he's excited about our upcoming trip.:wizard:
