Hi there

The only time in my adult life that I have been to WD was WDW in September 2008 and we were staying on site (Polynesian). When we checked in we got room key cards that were also our tickets into all of the WDW parks.

In March 2011, we will be staying at the Park Vue Inn and visiting DL. If I buy my DL tickets from the disneyland.com website site and print them off, are these the tickets that I use to get through the gates or do I have to go to a ticket booth to get the tickets I need to get through the gates?

As previously stated, I will be staying at the Park Vue Inn. Thay are a good neighbour hotel. If I call ahead and book my DL tickets with them, when I arrive at the hotel do I get the actual DL tickets that get me through the gate at DL?

Sorry if the question is confusing.

You can enter DL with the printed off tickets. They will exchange them at the entrance gates for 'regular' tickets that you can use to get fastpassess, etc. This is pretty common, and both locals and people staying in the hotels use them. :)

If you purchase your tickets through the hotel you will also be able to go straight to the park turnstyles without having to exchange the tickets at the ticket booths first. :)

Just to add, the hotels in the area can sell tickets at the ticket booth price. Online Disney gives a discount for 3 day or more tickets, which is one reason why, as Mary Jo pointed out, why they are so popular.

Also want to mention since you use the phrase "good neighbour" that you may of found the park vue on dl.com. That phrase is a marketing term only. It doesn't indicate that you get a good hotel or bargain through disney booking that hotel. Though that is a nice choice on Harbor Drive. You might price it on a 3rd party site or from the hotel directly to get the best rate.

Very much for your help. I am trying to reduce wait times so getting the tickets from the hotel as opposed to dl.com should be one less line for me to wait in. :goodvibes

Happy New Year!!

No. The tickets from DL.com are still taken straight to the gate/turnstyle. They'll scan it (like any other ticket) and your actual ticket will pop out of the turnstyle. Easy-peasy. It'll save you money and waste NO TIME and NO EXTRA LINE.

I would buy them from disneyland.com not a good neighbor hotel. You print them and go directly to the turnstiles and they are often cheaper than the hotel.

The "Good Neighbor" designation at Disneyland area hotels can mean different things but generally, the public does not know the difference.

Just to make sure I had my facts straight, I just checked the Disney travel agents' website. The Park Vue is not one of the Good Neighbor hotels that participates in the packages available through the Walt Disney Travel Co. (meaning Disney travel agents or Disney itself). But, when you go to the Park Vue website, you will see a Good Neighbor logo.

What's the difference? In this case, the Park Vue is a hotel that Disney allows to sell park tickets. It's a subtle difference, but if you're looking at packages and want a specific hotel, it might not be the Good Neighbor hotel you want.

Buying tickets directly from a travel agent or Disneyland online is a better choice and price.
