I have a question for all of you DL ticket gurus...
    • We are going to DL next June (week of 6/7).
    • am looking for 4-day park hoppers.
    • staying at Hojo's with Mousesavers discount. Originally booked at an AP rate with the thought that I'd get a Deluxe AP, but DH changed his mind and didn't want to go into the parks 5 days in a row (last time we went, we did 3 consecutive days and at the end of 3 days, we were pretty worn out).
    • We'll be at the parks Mon & Tues, day off on Wed, & back again on Thurs & Fri.

We are AAA members, so I can always go to our local AAA office here in Arizona and get slightly discounted tickets in person. The DL tickets on the AAA website are the exact same price as what DL sells, just the AAA tickets come with free parking...which we don't need since we'll be parking the car for free at Hojo's.

Right now, I have found 3 websites that all appear to be offering the same DL ticket deal. It's basically you pay the 3-day park hopper price, but you get an extra day...so you get 4-day park hoppers for the price of a 3-day ticket. Orbitz, aRes (which Mousesavers.com website recommends), and way.com all have these tickets for sale right now.

This is an even better deal than the AAA discounted ticket price and I would save a total of $88, which is basically half (not including tip) of a Fantasmic Blue Bayou dinner package (which we want to do since this is a 20th wedding anniversary trip for our family). And I don't want to miss out on such a good deal.

If you had to pick 1 of the 3 (Orbitz, aRes, or way.com), which would you select and why?

  • If all the prices are the same, I would go to orbitz via ebates and get cash back which brings the price down. Otherwise, I would go with whichever site is less expensive.

I recently used way.com. It was cheaper for us than other sites and the other benefit was that they e-mail you an actual e-ticket that you can take straight to the gate and use. Not sure about Orbitz, but Ares e-mails you a voucher that you have to take and exchange at the ticket booth before you go to the gate. It was nice to be able to skip waiting in another line. The one thing to be aware of is that way.com does not e-mail your ticket instantly. it took about 2 days for us to receive ours.

I was wondering about this. I was going to purchase tickets from aRestravel but noticed it said they were will-call tickets. I just went on the way.com site and it says if you purchase an E ticket, they will send a voucher electronically so then I was afraid to get them without knowing if they are actual tickets you can go through the turnstile with. So did you purchase the ones the said E tickets and were able to use them to get right into the park?

We just used tickets from way.com. (Sat 1/3) We never went to the ticket booth. Which is a good thing.... They seemed horribly crowded every time we walked by them the last few days.
It is simple. You print the attachment from your email, which is the ticket), take it to the turnstiles, the cast member scans it and then hands you a little credit card size ticket to use for the remainder of your stay. Before I bought our tickets, I researched and found that way.com was cheaper than any other site. Even the sites offering free days.
