We will be visiting DL in a few months and typically buy on the DL site. We live in FL and are AP at WDW so never thought about using a different site to purchase tickets. See some sites selling at a discount v price on DL site. About 10-15% discount. Just trying to understand if these are legit. I do not think I can list the website on here but well known for crowd calendar posting, etc. Just curious how this works and how they link the tickets on the app etc? Any information appreciated.

There are a few popular vendors I've seen mentioned on these boards. I'm guessing you are referring to Undercover Tourist, which is now a sponsor I think on these boards and can be mentioned. I have bought tickets through them three times now without issues and usually save about $60 total for my family of three. That's enough for a quick service meal so well worth it in my opinion.

Right now with ticket prices increasing, I've seen resellers offering tickets at the old prices for a limited time. So it might be worth jumping on one of those.

We are going in February and saw the ticket increase announcement. We always get our tickets from Undercover Tourist for WDW (probably 10 times or so) so we looked to see if they had a good deal on DL. We saved about $120 on two 5-day hoppers. They have always been great.

Do make sure you watch for any additional fees that can be added to some 3rd party tickets, making them more than buying from Disney directly. My husband once had tickets available through a site via his work; the tickets were less than Disney, but then it added fees and taxes that made the price higher. That said, we have used UT for tickets in the past without an issue. And we save some money doing it. I think they email you the ticket codes and you just enter them into the app so you can make park reservations.

A reminder note that no site should be charging you taxes for DLR tickets. If they say they are and it isn't bundled in the same line as fees, do not buy. California does not charge sales tax on theme park tickets. If it's on a line that is a bundled "taxes and fees", then it's a fee, not a tax. But it's an annoying psychological thing that seems to be to hide the fees and make you think they're taxes.

There's several options and it's good to check them all. A friend recently bought from aRes for $11 cheaper than UT even with aRes' service fee.

I usually add to cart for all the sites and compare final costs before making a decision.

The best way to see if a site can be mentioned on these forums is to write out their URL address.

Purchased our tickets from Undercover Tourist without issue. They were still offering the old pricing, so we jumped on it for our 2023 trip. E-tickets were sent via email and we successfully linked them to our Disney accounts.

Same as PP, purchased tickets from UT just last week, got the email within 10m that had all of the tickets with scannable barcodes. Just took the ticket info and entered it into the DL app and linked them to each of the members in my party making sure to match the names from each E-ticket to the correct party member in the app.

I almost always buy through a 3rd party. Lately I’ve gotten the best prices from Undercover Tourist. Their customer service is really good and I also love that the tickets are refundable with a 5% fee, or exchangeable if you decide to add a day or add genie+. So much easier than buying directly from Disney.

I also use UT to buy my tickets. I even booked PP hotel though them for a discount price. My daughter also bought tickets from them and could not not use them so she got a refund. No problems with them at all.

I have used Get Away Today for a couple of years now. Their are currently selling tickets at last years pricing until like the 20th of this month. The tickets are good through January 14, 2024.
I'm considering getting tickets for our May 2023 trip there. I'll have to check what the price difference would be if I wait to buy them.

If you don’t get them before the 20th then you will be purchasing them at the new prices. I think that historically I will save $10 a ticket but on Black Friday, I have gotten the adult tickets for the price of a child’s ticket. No mention of Black Friday yet other than right now they are saying the old pricing is better than Black Friday. I mean $80 a ticket for adults is worth it for me to purchase our next December tickets.

We have been purchasing tickets from UT for over 10 years, sometimes multiple times in a year. They are very easy to deal with and have great prices. I saved about $65 on our tickets for January 2023 last week after the price increase was announced.

Definitely worth it! Thanks!

I bought tickets for my 2023 trip from Undercover Tourist 2 days ago. Got an email saying there was an issue with my card (that I've used to book both hotel and flights and buy other stuff in the days before and after) and to email them back to confirm a time for them to call me, with no option to call them. Then they didn't call. Super frustrated, as the discount is hundreds of dollars and obviously a limited time option. I dont want to buy elsewhere as they charge 5% to refund, which is over $100, but don't want to lose the discount either if this doesn't get processed in time.

One thing about GetAwayToday that I don't understand is the buy 5 days for the price of 4 days promo. When I price those options out separately, the buy 5 days option is significantly more.

Anyways, I'm buying from UT today. I have used them in the past with no problems and they are upfront that there is a 5% refund charge on the tickets.

Just call them. Their phone number is on their webpage.
