Just booked the first 1/2 of my honeymoon at Disney's Grand Californian 8/8-8/12. Any advice on the best restaurants? They don't all have to be fancy, although we will probably like one very nice dinner. I've only been to DL once for the day so I don't really know what the restaurants are like.
Thanks!

Napa Rose at Grand Californian is a great restaurant if you're wanting a nice romantic dinner. It's kind of pricey but very good.

Napa Rose has been rated one of the best restaurants in California - but it has the prices to match.

We never made it there (too pricey and we had young kids) but If I'd been on my honeymoon it's definitely the place we would have gone.

We did eat at Blue Bayou where the food was good and the atmosphere (it forms part of the start of the Pirates ride) superb.

Not what you would call an elegant classy restaurant, but good food and good service and lot of fun.

My husband and I both enjoyed Naples in DTD when we went without kids in August. We enjoyed sitting outside drinking our wine and listening to some very nice violin music playing right there. If you go late there is less chance of it being noisy with kids if you are hoping to avoid that. We have also been there with our kids and they like it too! Not too expensive either as I recall.

I really like the Storyteller Cafe at the Grand Californian. Have not tried Napa Rose yet. That will be for something special.
Over at the Disneyland Hotel I like Hook's Pointe as well.
I have heard Granvill'es Steakhouse is really good at the DLH.

Thank you all very much for your advice! Sounds like Napa Rose is going to be a definite. And I totally forgot about the restaurant w/in Pirates - that sounds like fun. Based on all of your suggestions we will have a great place to eat every night! Thanks again!

The Jazz Kitchen in DTD is very good also, especially if you have a balcony table...and Bananas Foster is a great celebration dessert! I also enjoyed Catal at DTD.

I'd recommend a breakfast buffet at Storytellers in the GC. It is now a character meal, so it can be a bit lively, but it's one of my very favorites.

We just got back from a stay at the GC. It was wonderful. I loved the Storyteller's Cafe. It was so beautiful. We went for the breakfast buffet (pricey at 21.99), but it was excellent. They had pretty much anything you could imagine for breakfast foods.

Service was great and Chip, Dale and Brother Bear wander around for photos. Great place. But get there early - the wait can be rather long. :)
